I know some of you played the original version of Basement, but I hope you'll still try the new and improved T2 one. It transferred over very nicely and it's now fully sneakable!! There are new difficulty settings, changes in loot and I had a lot of fun working with Andrea on it during the betatesting. Enjoy!

p.s. For any of you who have had reservations about switching over to the new Darkloader, like I did, it works beautifully. You really, REALLY need to have it installed to appreciate this mission.

Ok NightWalker - where are you hiding the Hand of Glory? I went as far south and as far west as I could but I have no idea where the bugger is.

I was hoping the guards would have Italian accents.

Italian accents would be cool! Andrea should have done his own voices.

To find the Hand of Glory, you need to cross a board walkway that is very close to the stairs up to the Music room. At the far end of that area, there's a locked door. The clue for where to look for the key is there. If you can't find the key and want a spoiler, let me know. There's also another clue you need to find that gives you an idea how to actually GET the Hand. This one is full of puzzles!

    Lord Alan's Basement, no exit?

Eh.. I can't find the exit. First I ran back to where I started but then I remembered I had fallen down, hehe.

Can anyone please tell me where it is?

You exit into the garden. On the east side.

I was impressed with the last obstacle before the exit. It's like a three-dimensional maze.

I almost gave up on this mission right away. I couldn't find the first key! I tried again and searched more thoroughly and found it. After that, the mission was... I won't say it was "easy". But it was challenging without being more difficult than I could handle.

Yeah I liked it too. It was great. But a three dimensional maze? I never saw that. Where was it? Oh, and did you mange to open the picture in the music room?

I think the "maze" he's referring to is the tall, wooden scaffolding in the room with the garden exit. It is rather challenging, depending on where you start climbing.

To open the painting in the music room,
    spoiler:
look for a tiny lever beside the keyboard of the organ.

    lord alan's basement

    hi
did anyone played the lord alan's basement for T2 ?
is it the same as the one for T1 ?

i can't find the lever to open the grate with the chests behind
i am the passion, i am the warfare

It's not exactly the same. It's easier to play in a sneaky style and some of the clues, etc. have been changed. There isn't a lever for that section now. One of the guards in that area is carrying a scroll that has a clue how to open the grate. If you don't want to look for the scroll, you need to
    spoiler:
push the buttons on the control panel in an "X" formation.

    Hmmmm...

I haven't played LAB in quite a while, but I seem to remember there was a hole in the ground hidden by some shrubs, that you had to fall down but land in water? Is that right? Wish I remembered better....

Edit: This bugged me, so I loaded it up... there is a hole hidden by plants, you go down it but not into water, and explore from there.

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but I cannot get the hand of glory. I am only separated from it by a portcullis that I cannot open. I also have the sunburst device but no clue what to blow up with it although I found the note with the hint.
    Help would be appreciated.

    spoiler:
The sunburst device must be used to disable the magical trap after you get the portcullis open. I don't remember which key it was that opened that portcullis, though. The only key that took me a hint to get was the one by the corpse in the cistern, underwater. It's not actually ON the corpse, but about half a meter off.

Ieldra has got you on the right track except that
    spoiler:
you don't need a key to open the portcullis. There's a pressure plate in the floor, directly across from the little "safe" in the wall beside it. That opens the safe and inside is the switch to open the portcullis.

Ah, thanks a lot. I seem to lose my vision.

    Now on to the fortress!

    Lord Alan Basement

I found a way to enter Lord Alan Music Halls and
    spoiler:
    went through the paintings.
There is a locked door, which I can't open. Where is the key to it? And yes, I found
    spoiler:
the lever to the door in the nearby area, with a sliding cover.
Also is there a way to open the fancy double door with a sign saying Lord Alan Mansion, in the area where I found
    spoiler:
    the garden key.

I think you need a key that one of the guards out in the hallway is wearing.

No, you can't get into the Mansion part. That's saved for the next mission which you can play next!

Ah, right, right, I missed it on his belt. Got it and the objective ticked off. But I still can't
    spoiler:
find the Gand of Glory nor The Horn of Quintus
although I found the fake one, does it count?

I have already played the magnificent Fortress FM...
