    T2 FM: Just Take A Look (Dec. 28, 2003)

It's the night after you were the life of the party at AngelWatch, and you've decided to visit one of Karras' honoured guest's homes to see why he's given them these servants. Try to pick up a clue, and of course, a few things for your troubles......

    ---Just Take A Look---

A couple of people are running through it this weekend, and then hopefully it's directly on to you. It's just a small mini mission, but might provide you with a little bit of fun.

WOOT! The main Hallway looks pretty good, if a little bare. I don't like how the textures finish at the top though, doesn't look right to me and the Bathroom floor tiles don't fit properly. The Bedroom looks good although it lacks a carpet and i don't think those giant Vases fit the Dining room.

    I half-like the Toilet!

Looking forward to playing it all the same. After which i should play Calendra's Legacy because i haven't seen it yet. I only downloaded the full 300+ mb file earlier!

sluggs, you should get a job on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy. Glad you're looking forward to playing it "all the same". I hope you won't be too disappointed with CL, he didn't hang the guest towels properly.

Damn me for being a perfectionist! You can poke my missions when they are finished!

I'm just giving you my opinions, it's nothing personal although you seem to be taking it that way.

He didn't hang the guest towels correctly? Right, i'm not even going to bother playing it. That really sucks!

Thanks to Dinky for testing and Jason for hosting, and Nightwalker for her input.

Remember, it's just a mini mission, no wheel re-invention...

OK, OK...There is nothing but the secrets in this spoiler.

So don't even look at this post if you don't want it given away just yet...

    spoiler:
No. 1: In the basement guard barracks, at the back right hand corner of the wall, look closely behind the reinforcement boards of the beams.

    spoiler:
No. 2: Check out the rafters behind the barrel in the basement, the section which connects to the section with the water tank and broken furniture.

    spoiler:
No. 3: Before you head up the stairs to the kitchen area, check out (up close) the unlit torch at the bottom of that staircase.

    spoiler:
No. 4: In the lord's bathroom, hop up on the sink and look behind the triangular pillar behind the toilet. Use Alt+W to lean forward enough to hilight the secret

    spoiler:
No. 5: In the lord's study area in his bedroom, check out the books on the shelf very closely.

    spoiler:
No. 6: In the living area with the fireplace, their is a corridor with a red wallpapered bedroom and a gambling room. In the bedroom, go in the closet and frob the coat hook.

    spoiler:
No. 7: In the gambling room, crouch and check closely under the plant stand

    spoiler:
No. 8: In the gearbox locked office connected to the library, crouch and look carefully and up close to the cabinet with the miniaturized mine cars.

    spoiler:
No. 9: Once you are in the area from secret no. 8, look carefully at the bookshelf you see when you crouch to enter and look right (the one by itself on the narrow wall).

DON'T READ THESE IF YOU WANT TO FIND THE SECRETS WITHOUT HELP!!!

Just Take A Look - Gearbox locked room

If there is a key to this room, where is it?
I think I've knocked everyone out exept one of the guards by the front door. I checked them all for a key but didn't found one.

PS. Nice little mission! Loved all the secrets and different paths to take. I had a "KO party" behind the big stairs. DS.

    Unseen

    That key can be found
    spoiler:
in the lord's bedroom under the potted plant.

If you look carefully, you can see it hilight there without moving anything.

    Thanks uncadonego!

I searched and found all the secrets, but never thought of the obvious place for hiding a key...

Okay, I am having some sort of fruity problem running this mission. As soon as I enter the game, the sound disappears and I see a line of blood-red cubes floating chest-high across the mansion lawn, and a little number "2" appears on the screen just above my visibility gem, and various invisible things impede my movement, making it impossible to go anywhere.

I have no &^*%! idea what to make of this. Any assistance will be most appreciated. I'll post screen-dumps if it will help.

    Absolutely stunning

Uncadonego, I'm not done yet, but I had to pause to express how lovely I find your mission. When I walk around a Thief mission thinking how wonderful it would be to live there, I know I'm in the hands of master.

Kudos to you, Sir. If you and Yandros ever team up to build missions, I think I'd have to pixelate my husband and I so we could move in

    Cheers!

    Excellent mission really enjoyed it.

One request though. If you realease a new version in the future. Could you PLEASE PLEASE have the phonogram switch offable, or at least allow the play to massage the phonogram with either the Blackjack or the sword.

After an hour or so of game play (I like to try and find everything), the same piece of music over and over again, errrr.

    Architecture was excellent.

    rastas

    You got sick of Vivaldi!!??

Melissa, thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Karl, perhaps you were playing a game with some custom things like the light gem and such (maybe Lord Alan's Fortress?) and didn't use Darkloader to zip back to the original T2 settings before choosing your next game? Just a thought on a possible cause, I'm not sure though. I'm not sure everyone does this, but it's always safest to switch back to T2 settings in between FM choices.
