    Gussie's dream Mar. 9/04

I'm stuck in the very first room! So far, I've
    spoiler:
    raised the first three stairs
but can't seem to progress any further.

    Also,
    spoiler:
I've found that the banjo can be used like a crate.
Does this factor in any way?

A gentle nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    spoiler:
climb all the stairs you've raised so far and walk to the end of the platform & look carefully on the wall straight across - if i'm remembering correctly, that's where the last button is

    spoiler:
I've only raised the first starcase! I see the switch and grate above the second pedestal and vined up to the 4th pedestal to hit the button on the back which I presume activates a later staircase, but in the interim, I can't get to the second pedestal.

    Please Help!

look under the stairs that you do have raised, very carefully (from the platform, it would be on the left-hand side)

I've found a grate under one of the large pillars with a button but that doesn't do anything. All staircases remain in the floor...

Ok, by accident I raised the first stair... and the second.... but the thrid lever near the ceiling doesn't do anythin?????

Look where some blue light shines on the walls. There you will find switches. A few of them could be shot with an arrow.

    There is a
    spoiler:
one button that does nothing in first room and one in second room,
    now I'm in third room

An there is a nice BUG!
    spoiler:
After you get a jewel you are teleported to next room.
But if you drop a jewel after that and pick it up again, you will be teleported AGAIN. Very nice "feature"

Great mission! But too much quicksaves/quickloads required....

The switch in the first room that appears to do nothing is
    spoiler:
part of a two part secret. Look for another spot to vine arrow up to.

    Similar for room 2.

    Those two are optional.

I love the idea of a lute you can mantle up onto! Thieves will try anything when they are stuck. I know I have!

Praise the Builder! I've actually just managed to jump onto the first platform! I did KOMAG's trick and ran off it at an angle!

BTW, i'm certain i know who made this. Plus i have seen those kind of stairs before, but i could be wrong!

Heey! I found a secret in the second room! WOOT! BTW, be careful with your gems.
    spoiler:
If you throw them on the floor and pick them back up, you will get teleported back to where the room began after you found the gem!

    haha
it was definitely fun, different & funny, but wow, difficult (yet not in an uber annoying way either - more in that i-know-i-can-do-this-and-i'm-going-to-reload-1000000-times-and-do-it-no-matter-what way)
plus, the falling down comments were almost worth... well, falling, haha

Well I'm stuck in the second room.
    spoiler:
I just got onto the platform where the floating teddy bears appear, and I can't progress further. The nearest platform is just out of reach and I see a button on the opposite column, but shooting at it doesn't do anything, so I suppose that's related to this room's secret.

    You have to
    spoiler:
jump across and frob it as you are falling to your doom! (At least that's how i did it!) If you are low on health then i think that you are done for!

I don't think we're talking about the same thing
    spoiler:
I just went up the first series of platforms and it's too far to the nearest platform. I can see the button on the column on the opposite side of the room, but there's no way I can get that far. I'm also on the hardest difficulty so a fall from this height kills instantly.

Second room. Climbed up the vine, then jumped a few platforms and now some Teddybears just floated around. I can see the white or grey button, but can't reach it, not even while jumping (and killing myself).

    kill the teddy bears.

Phew! Finally finished it! For those of you who, like me, had trouble finding the switches in the first room (I never did find the second switch):
    spoiler:
You can mantle up on the torches, makes jumping a heck of a lot easier.
    Also, in the second room:
    spoiler:
after the teddies appear, try running at an angle to get to that far platform. It still took me a few attempts, but I managed to get it after four tries.
    PS,
    spoiler:
anyone else get the bottle from the teddies? It was pretty hard to spot.

I only found one out of three secrets, but this one definitely has my vote as the funniest FM. "I say! I think I pulled a muscle!"

    Sigh.

    [Folks]

I guess I'm the only one who can't make even the first jump in the first room.

    Is there some secret?

    spoiler:
I shot a stupid vine arrow into a stupid grate on the bottom of a platform. I climbed and pressed a button, which revealed another button on the ceiling. I shot another vine arrow into the grate near that button, but the vine doesn't reach to the floor. I cannot for the life of me jump from platform one to platform two.

Can somebody please explain what I'm doing wrong?

    Dafydd,

    spoiler:
on the ceiling above the highest platform is a little botton. If you shoot an arrow into it, I think the 3rd stairs will rise. However, I did that standing on those stairs, so they kind of lifted me up. I had not been able to rise the first two.
Once you are on the 3rd platform, look to the wall (or ceiling) of the next platform and you'll find another little botton.

I was only able to see them using the zoom.
