This version has longer chains, a wooden support, two tubes and it's jointed, meaning it can be made to swing.![]()

Cool! So I can finally make my warehouse mission where somebody left the doors open and the wind is howling through the warehouse!![]()

Just kidding, that's a nice improvement. So how do you add joints in Anim8or? I've thought about making a few new chests/trunks/boxes.
Yah, I would like to know too.Yandros: So how do you add joints in Anim8or?

I'll try to start using Anim8or soon.
Don't worry all ye great modelers, you won't have any new competition to worry about.![]()
Go for it man. Start off with that Eggplant tut and you'll be off in no time.![]()
Texturing became cake (but still time-consuming) after I discovered how to resize and slide around the texture on a face. I do still detach faces sometimes sluggs, but more often than not I don't. The worst thing about it is that if you have to go back and tweak a UV alignment, you have to redo it from scratch. It seems to reset the UV map when you go back to it.
im with you on that method yandros, its handy i find to look straight on in the side view and stretch/shift, then rotation 90 degrees through an axis and do the next face, if you use the checkers texture it is possible to get some decent looking textures in a hurry that all match up. its also possible to select 2 or more faces, say the left and right side, then view one or the other, and stretch them both at once identically.

I'm also doing a tutorial for creating this object. It's all go!
This makes 34 new objects from me so far, (all available from my site)Schwaa has only 15 of them! Muhahaha!

@ Yandros/OttoJ55... I didn't bother detaching any faces for this one!
Last edited by Sluggs; 25th Mar 2007 at 00:17.
do you like texturing this way, or do you prefer detaching faces? i find this method very fast and exceptable on small objects.
I prefer detaching them but on some objects, mainly rounded one's, it's better to just rotate the object and texture the faces using SETTINGS/COMPONENT/TEXTURE UV
I still don't use the UV tool tho'.

Have any of you tried Shadowspawn's new utilities to improve the AI model. I think they allow some pretty cool effects.

Pretty funky!Looks like two AI's in the same location! I haven't had the need to try his new tools out yet.
Reminds me of that Film "The Creeping Flesh" starring Peter Cushing where that old Skeleton was brought back to life with water!
That's wickedly cool, Jari!![]()
WTH!!?? Looks pretty odd if ya ask me.Wait a sec, do you mean it makes the actual ai skins smoother or what exactly are we talking of here?
--Hmm, i look at it some more, and it reminds me of a hologram.![]()

look closely and there is a skull under the blue ghostly face, that is the awesome part.
