    Lost book

"Our son has done it again! Thats twice he has escaped from his cot! One minute he is there and the next he is gone! The servants have promised they are not playing tricks and I believe them. Oddly gold coins have began to go missing from around the house. My purse was snatched from my pocket while feeding baby garratt. I think it could be ghosts."

    "Just a good old boy
    Never meaning no harm
    Beats all you ever saw
Been in trouble with the law
Since the day he was born

    Straightening the curves
    Flattening the hills
One day the mountain might get him
    But the law never will"

"I've got a simple job planned for this evening. Break in, steal another fat nobleman's precious trinket, and give the slip to those Keepers that keep following me. Heh, Keepers. I'm looking forward to the unwritten times, if only so they'll shut up about those damn prophecies."

    Ooh, nice.

    Here's another of mine:

One time you looked so fine
hanging out in hammer cloths so divine,
    didn't yoooouuuuu!
    You used to laugh about
all the pagans who were hangin out
now you don't dress so fine
    tangled up in woodsie vine
trying to scramble for hammerite zeeeal,
    How does it feel!
    To be on your own
    like a mossy stone.------Keeper Dylan

Now that you made me think of it, why don't we write some SERIOUS quotes and put them in place of those in T3. They're quite superficial and uninspired if compared to T1 & T2.

Come, children, and listen to my story...
A pagan man, barely able to feed his family, went hunting one day.
When he loosed his arrow at a woodland creature, the Trickster spurned him,
and his arrow stuck fast in the ground. Then he saw it.

Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.

Then the pagan man saw that his curse from the Trickster was a blessing from the Builder, who had given him means to move to the City.
So they loaded up the cart and moved to Lampfire.

Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, opera stars.

    Fate dictated our meeting;
    his coming was foretold to us;
when the old man spoke to us, saying,
"Garret will be your waiter tonight,
he will be with you in a moment."

The Builder took the measure of the stars,
and laid the cornerstone to the East of the Oak,
laying saw to oak, he fashioned the timber
for the sturdy walls to encompass the foundation.
The builder schook his fist at Chaos and Darkness
Forged his cathedrals of Light, the Chalice of Right
and watched as the Pagans howled in the night.
The bright hot metal the burgeoning Hammers
forged by fire,by thunder tamed in Metal.
The Acolytes came to wield the thunder,
stamping out the nightmare of dreams,
creating Order the City took its form,
the Pagans danced in th forest
with murder in their eyes.-----------Hammer History of time

And he did say, "Shall we not use this power, as our enemies used it unto us?
Do we not carve their wild forests into our beams an boards?
Do we not tame their raging streams to carry our boats?"
And in their youth and foolishness, did his brothers say, "Oh come on, we can still see the bus stop from here."

To gain that ledge is my current task.
A wooden beam is all I ask.
I spy one of sufficient height.
The angle's good, the shot looks right!
I grab my quiver. My heart is smitten!
Instead of rope arrow, I've got these G__ D___ Mittens!

The most promising acolyte was sent from the table, not out of the lesser folly of belching, but the greater folly of flatulance. His stomach was upset, and his odor was vile, but his abilities were unmatched. Even then, we knew to watch him most carefully. Preferably from upwind.

    When evening falls
    And shadow calls
    I creep down darkened lanes.
    Through vaults I root
    Collecting loot
    And nab ill-gotten gains.

    I lurk in shade
    As I evade
    The ever-present guard.
    Unheard, unseen
    Whilst treasures glean
    As futily they ward.

    But gear gets lean.
    I might be seen!
    Sometimes that's how it goes.
    I dash and dart
    With pounding heart
    Evading all my foes.

    I'll take a dive
    To stay alive
    If things become too grim.
    But I'll be drowned
    Because I've found
    I've forgotten how to swim!
