Programs and Utilities Ra2Wav.exe Real Audio to Wave converter (174 K)- This program will let anyone be able to convert the Real Audio files from the voice and sfx sections to Windows freadly wave files. It has an easy to use windows interface. (15 day shareware) t_shock.com Texture Extractor (10.9 K)- NOTE: Use at your own risk. Thanks again to Volkov Vasily for providing this wonderful program. I also have the source code (in C) if you coders would like to try and edit/optimize it. Email me if you want the source code. Ripp500.zip Ripp 5.0 (15.8 K)- A collection of music file converters. Contains Xmi2midi.exe that will convert System Shock music files to midi (In case you want the ORIGINAL midis, rather than the remixed ones in our Shocktunes section.); Amf2Mod.exe which will convert Crusader music into Mod format; and quite a few others. univbe.exe UniVBE (34.0 K)- A Universal VESA BIOS Extension. This program may come in handy for players on older computers. System Shock requires a VESA driver to display SVGA graphics in DOS (most DOS programs did). This program activates a software VESA driver, so that anyone can enjoy their System Shock in full SVGA. (Just watch out for performance degradation). notepad.exe Notepad (15.7 K)- This is the most powerful HTML building software I have come across. I have used it to build not only all of TTLG, but all of my other sites as well. Useful for begginer and advanced webmasters! ttlgbrowser.exe TTLG Browser (122 K)- A mini web-browser that features instant access to all of the current TTLG hosted sites. Everybody's pal Nick Price has been hard at work for about a month on this thing. The prefect stocking stuffer for any TTLG Addict just like, like... well like Nick. Hehehe.... If it crashes your computer, formats your hard-drive, turns into an evil AI and tries to take over the world, or just plain dosn't work, here's Nick's email address.. : zork@fastlane.net Tnxi021.zip *.res file extractor (231 K)- A program designed to extract images and sound files from LookinGlass's *.res file archive type. Note that although it was designed for Terra Nova, it will also work with System Shock and Flight Unlimated. coc042b.zip Texture Editing Tool (67 K)- A helpful tool when you edit textures of games. It is capable of converting any true color image to a 256-color indexed image using a given palette. This you need everytime you want to insert a new texture into a game, because games use a common color palette for every texture so you simply cant use your painting-program to make a 256-color image out of a true color image.
