This is the main project contact page. Click on one of the links below to get info on a specific member, or look further down for general contact info. To apply for a possition on the team, email ArchAngelQ with the possition your applying for in the subject after the dash, and or 'Application for USShock possition -' and the possition if you don't use the link above. Also, include your qualifications for the possition (having places to go and get demonstations of your ablities online is a big plus), as well as any extra contact info you'd like to provide, in the message. The possitions we need people to fill are as follows: - 3d Modlers & Animators
- We are looking to fill at least two possitions here, one for huminoid / monster models, and one for pickups, weapons, level objects, and other more mechanical apperatus. We are most immediately in need of someone to do the weapons and pickups, as a good bit of the weapon code is hampered by having to use the Unreal/UT weapon models
- Level designers
- This possition requires an artistic eye and the ability to recreate, adapt and extend existing architechture of a level. Experience with Unreal/UT and UnrealED a big plus
- Programmers
- Experience with UScript would be the strongest plus for this possition, and having working, published mods/mutators that show your skills would be great. Outside that, a programmer with strong object oriented background and at least 6 months programming in C++ or Java, and knowlage of as many other languages as possible (to show adaptablity to new laguages) would be the next biggest advantage, as would windows C++ programming experience or mac C++ experience. Knowlage of at least the utilities layer of each OS's API would be great, experience with the windowing APIs even better (for more minor utilities). Also, if anyone with C++/Java experience would like to join and create UScript utilities, but doesn't have the desire to delve into UScripting, your help would also be greatly appreciated.
- Concept artists
- I'd really like to see some concept art happen for this project. Being as this is a remake, we do want to retouch the levels, creatures, and other small details of the game, and having cohesive artwork to work from would be a great benefit, not to mention looking great on the webpage ;) Applicants would idealy be able to take ideas for a creature or scean, and add their own artistic flair to it. This is a possition that would allow artistic but non-technical people to contribute to this project
- Sound Effect artists
- Sound effects can make or brake a game just as much as any other element. Applicants for this possition would idealy be able to create realistic mechanical sounds, and haunting creature noises, though being able to just (or mostly) one very well would also do a great deal to secure a possition.
- 2d texture artists/skinners
- I'll come back to this later, I'm to fried to write a good description in here
