Creating Different Lock Difficulties
From FleshWorks
by Nivanhye
The difficulty of a lock is controlled by a lock difficulty info found under metadata. Every lock archetype has a link of flavour 'lock' to the correct lock difficulty info archetype. This specifies the number of rings in a lock and the size and position of the hotspots for each ring.
It is easy to create new lock difficulty info archetypes and new lock archetypes can be created under existing locks (so they inherit all the properties and look the same ) but they can then be linked to a different difficulty info. This is done my right clicking the archetype in the actor browser and selecting the 'edit links' option.
This means every lock can be different at the cost of having a different archetype for each lock. No more mass produced locks all the same.
Note
Even if you set the minimum and maximum angles within 1 degree of each other the lock will start to pick within about 20 degrees either way. Simularily however small you make the gap between the min and max radii (even zero) there will be quite a range in the length of the imaged pick which will work though this factor has much finer control than the angle.
