Graphics Card Issues

Annoying crashes
Shortly after the editor's release, it became apparent that crashes occur in systems with some ATI cards when working with brushes in T3ed. As documented [here] and [here], the problems occur with cards based on Radeon 9600, 9700 and 9800 chips. Most likely the driver is at fault, and until there are updates, there may be no permanent solution.
Typically, the computer locks up entirely when attempting to subtract the builder brush from the world. There are workarounds for this problem, but some may find this to be too much of a hindrance.
If you are likely to purchase a new graphics card in the near future, you are considering doing a lot of work with T3ed, and you really need trouble-free operation, nVidia based cards may be a better bet. However, problems have also emerged with nVidia cards, just less frequently.
