Coyote is a god from American indian lore (duh), he tends to be a wise man (enlightened, for all his foolishness), trickster, joker, thief, and fool. He foresees many things, and is my favorite name of the "Promethean pantheon" of gods, aka Lucifer, Prometheus, Hermes, Enki, the Serpent (of jewish lore), Loki, etc etc.

I'm a mythology fan.
BTW, in cyberpunk novels, Coyote is also the Hacker god, he always tests the waters and strains the boundaries, because if he doesn't, all the Builder's walls wouldn't be playtested!

Enuff of that, I could go on about my name for days(as we all could)...

Good hunting.

One day I was sitting in art class, when for no reason at all I asked my friend Will, "Are you a singing dancing moose?" Then I just started singing about how I was a singing dancing moose. I liked how it sounded, (Singing Dancing Moose, that is) so I used it as my name when I registered.

I'm a singing dancing moose! I'm a singing dancing moose! I'm a singing, I'm a dancing, I'm a singing dancing moose!

I was in grade 9 and I looked into the music room. A guy was playing drums in there, a kinda jazzied punk beat. He stopped when I looked in.
"Do you play drums?"
"Yeah."
"Give it a shot."
So I played on the set for a minute or so. He said, "Man, is all that you know just metal or can you do punk stuff?"
I said, "Just metal."
He said, "Man, you should try something else. I'm gonna call you metal boy from now on. Hey everybody, this is MetalBoy!"

And the name just stuck.

I was thinking of changing my name to the one I used to use on all of my platform RPGs, which was Zorkon from Zorkonius, but since I came up with that, there has been a number of games (Zork Nemesis, for one) with that.

Anyway...

A "tritone" is a musical interval - specifically, a diminished fifth or an augmented fourth. (European police sirens use this interval - really grating on your ears)

Well, for those who don't know, a Schechter is a kosher butcher. As I have said before, I was used to my name being taken anywhere I went, I was in a hurry, and it just came to mind. It just seems to stick to me. Oh well. I guess I could see if "Shalom" or something is taken. Kind of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde thing. Shalom, the poster, Schechter, the moderator... I need to get out more.

For those of you whose thesaurus isn't working in your favorite Word Processor...

Ludicrous:Laughable, amusing, ridiculous, foolish, etc. etc.

I decided on the name because I considered it the perfect way to describe my playing abilities in quake. - quite pathetic

Mallinson (as opposed to "Mallison", and people always mispell it ) is my last name. And I've always been intrigued by the ways of "The Keepers" and their way of life, and fighting, and sneaking.
I thought for a while about calling myself "Hand Of Constanine", as a Star Wars fan-friend of mine calls herself "Hand of Palpatine." I also thought about "Gwyn", another Knight in King Arthur's court. But I decided on Keeper Mallinson.
