...Take the weight of your feet, sit down in your comfy chair, have
another dram of Irish crap. Now listen to my little story:
A few weeks ago, I was sitting in the cinema, waiting for the
audience to settle down and the film to begin, when I saw this
promotional clip. They were offering an expensive-looking vial
containing a thin yellow liquid, and they were calling it p. Said grapheme, as your Emptinece knows,
not only denotes the factor by which the circumference of a circle
is longer than its diameter; it is also the Greek variant of the
letter P and is thus pronounced in my mother tongue. The
liquid advertised was of course an eau de toilette.
Speaking of bathrooms, you can also buy a brand of toilet paper
in these parts which goes by the name of "Happy End".
