Just got to wondering, I know we have several Scots, a few Germans, and no doubt way too many Americans on here, so how about a quick survey where everyone just says where they're from? Though it might be fun
btw, I'm an Aussie

Besides clicking the WHO wouldn't tell you where I'm from, hehe.
Okay then. Born in Edinburgh, moved to Wiltshire, England, moved to Leeds, Englend, moved back to Wiltshire where I am now. Want to live in the highlands. Does that answer your question?

Münster, Germany.

A very catholic enclave in the protestant north of Germany. The citizens are tolerant enough that they dont burn me as witch.

Born in Jülich, Germany, only btw.

I'm from Charlottenburg in the former British sector of Berlin. Who's your place named after, jd? Mine takes its name from Queen Sophie Charlotte's residence, which is not a castle (=Burg) after all, but a palace. Don't remember a Queen Charlotte in England.

Thousand Oaks, CA, USA. Born in West Covina. Frankly I prefer England to here, I like the rain.

I'm from Gastonia, North Carolina right beside Charlotte which is named after a Queen Charlotte of England, Kyloe. As a matter of fact another name for Charlotte, NC is the Queen City. Not too boring and we don't have any tourists being stalked, robbed, and killed (well not many anyway...hehe).

Originally from south-eastern Pennsylvania, USA; currently (and for the past 5 years) living in Glasgow, Scotland (so I appear to be a Scot online; given that my family name comes from a small village about 30 km south of here, I figure that's fair enough ). I've lived in London, Kiev, Moscow, and also Calgary, where I met my wife Corinne. (Who decided she liked computer games when I convinced her to play System Shock. )

Dudley, West Midlands, UK. The heart of the 'Black Country'.

Interestingly enough, the local dialect is pretty similar to Cadfaels, and spoken in the voice of the guard who says 'Whens I going to get moi dinner, thats what I wants to know' . (Maybe you should move here ) It's a pretty grotty place though.
