    screenshots

here's some shots of what I've been working on.
The lighting's been changed a lot to make stuff visible on
here, and nothing's finished, but enough so that I'm OK
    with exposing myself.

Yeah it's very liberating unless it's cold

That lamp in shots 2 and 4 looks like it's got the 'Object System > Immobile: TRUE' property. I think the shadow cast on the ceiling looks odd.

    But nice screenshots

Very atmospheric screenshots, I like the textures. What do you plan to build around that fortress?

If the street lamps in the first pic aren't placeholder lights, I'd suggest taking another object model for them (maybe a few pagan torches?). I think they look too common and take a bit away from the eerie mood the building and the dead trees convey.

    Keep it up!

thanks for the feedback and encouragement!

on the lamp shadows: I figured they should be there since
the lamps have a hood of sorts. I added runtime object
shadows and spotlight properties, but haven't found a
configuration that looks right, so I'll probably just get rid of
    them.

What do you plan to build around that fortress?
Probably some craggy terrain to block the horizon.
A dilapidated shack as an object might be nice if I can find
one, and more vegetation in varying degrees of health,
    tending more towards the unhealthy.

On the streetlamps: I don't like those particular models
very much either, but it's the only one I've found that
has a proper looking dark counterpart, and I'd like to have
one functional lamp and one that's been skewed/broken by
the nearby dead tree that's starting to fall over.

    Very nice indeed.
    Love those textures.
You've definately achieved that creepy look.
    Hope to play this sometime.

Oh God yes, creepy, gritty, lonely. It looks great, and it's just my cup of tea. Estimated release date?

    Thanks again!

    Love those textures.
Just to make sure no one gets the wrong idea, I didn't make
any of the textures (or objects) myself. I'll make sure proper
credit is given when the time comes.

    Estimated release date?
I don't know, I'm afraid. I'm sort of playing it by ear, the
plot is a vague blob at this point and I'm a little surprised
that it's going as well as it is (knock wood) without a
    concrete plan.

Sure, I'd like to have a look at it. I don't know how to skin
    objects either, though.
