    Thief Gold Hermit from Song of the Caverns model texture is backwards

    For some strange reason, in the Thief Gold mission, "Song of the Caverns" The Hermit from the Opera House has his model textures backwards. I tried playing around with the "herm.tga" mesh file by renaming it to "herm.tga.old and it still doesn't fix the model texture to make him look normal. I was able to fix a few other model textures on the female opera guest and female actor models just fine by renaming their tga files to tga.old and it worked, just can't fix the Hermit model texture, I wonder what could be the problem?

    Go into cam.cfg and change line "character_detail 0" into "character_detail 1". As for the reason why did this happen - did you play before Ascend the Dim Valley FM? Fm.cfg file in this mission forces change of settings and unfortunately these changes save to cam.cfg as well.

    followed the install instructions of your patchers/mods properly, did not mess with files manually?

    Ok, thanks! Prior to this glitch, no I did not play the Ascend the Dim Valley FM, I was just playing some other FM or the original missions that came with the game. Thanks for the heads up, I'll need to check into that if I see anything from that specific FM. I didn't even know a problem exists with it.

    Thanks for the advice, my problem has been resolved! It was just a simple change in one of the game files's settings that needed to be changed so the character models look normal. I didn't change anything, perhaps one of the FMs I was playing earlier may had tweaked the character detail setting by itself. I will keep this for future reference.

    hmmm, that might warrant an investigation, fan missions should not be capable of messing with the main game in such a way, not when modern loaders are used. I'd assume they were?

    If FMs are not suppose to change anything with the main game in such a way, then some taffin thing is going on. I wasn't using any modern loader except for FMsel as my default FM loader.

    i had same problem with reversed skins,so thank you for the easy fix and i did play dim valley,did not realize that was when it happend,so thank you for board
