So long, and thanks for all the taff

I think I'm done with Thief. I'm just not happy working on this stuff anymore. So this is goodbye.

In case any of the unfinished stuff I've done is of interest to anyone, I'm making all my repos of Thief related stuff public. The main ones are:

    https://github.com/vfig/dual
    https://github.com/vfig/t2tests
    https://github.com/vfig/periapt

And all the related videos of experiments and stuff are also now public in this playlist.

Thanks for all your contributions to the community- We'll miss you!

And on a personal note, thank you for your help with the custom scripts in HHHH; I also especially enjoyed watching your let's play of it!

Thanks, vfig - for all your contribution! This topic truly makes me sad. Maybe after some time you... well...

As a player I have very strong and nice memories about Making a Profit which was good story-driven city mission with nice non-linearity in it. Not only it was nice tribute to Thief: The Dark Project, it was damn good mission on its own.

Oh my! I'm sad to hear this. I very much appreciated your contributions to the Thief community, and your time and efforts to help to solve various DromEd problems and challenges. I found your investment and achievements to have been both impressive and inspiring. Thank you for everything, especially your patient help for my Money Tree problem. I was looking forward to playing the impressive creations you showcased recently. I hope nothing too sour or regrettable has brought you to your decision to leave? You sound to me to be rather decided indeed. Whatever the case, it has been a pleasure to discuss with you, and if you decide one day to return, it will also be with great pleasure. Take care and may you have smooth sailing your other projects!

I had a lot of fun with my small contribution in Making a Profit, and you were great to work with! I hope to see you back one day in any form. Maybe after a few years' break the passion will return.

Goodbye vfig and thanks for all the things you've done. I hope you can find something enjoyable to indulge in. Do remember that there are many aspects of making Thief missions, a change is as good as a rest, and the door is never locked.

If multiple decades on the internet has taught me anything, it's that people who make "I'm outta here forever!" announcements... aren't.

A few years ago I was playing Thief a bit excessively and got fed up with it, such that I thought I was done with it. A 6 month hiatus fixed that. So it's possible the op may reconsider in the future

I'd like to think this is only another break. But whatever needs your attention, has to go first, of course.

Thanks to all your amazing contributions to the community you've made already!

well im back in dromed again as of last month. life isnt exactly working out, but being depressed and unemployed and running out of rent money while in dromed seems better than simply being depressed and unemployed and running out of rent money. *shrug*

That's the spirit.. I just wish I could find the motivation, er.. time. Maybe soon once things slow down.. I usually get something of a break from other responsibilities in January, some in Feb.. we'll see.
