Where do the FM subtitles get their font from?
I have the Russian version of the game, but I don't see Russian font in the subtitles of my mission, so English ones are used here.
However, I see Russian subtitles when I launch the original game (AngelLoader). The font is bad, but it works.

check cutscenes.sub and see whether something unusual is going on with the encoding or the characters there - basically, if there is a difference when compared to the sub files that work ok, then that might be your problem right there.
