    If you're playing on hard, there is a bug, which prevents you from completing the mission.

    What's up with the

    metal trapdoor in the floor of the ground level storeroom?
    (in front of the target)

    I can't seem to find a switch for it.

    Thanx mucho PsymH! Just saved me from all the searching (and hair pulling when I could'nt find a switch on THIS side of the durn thing!)

    Haha! Love that pic in the gallery! Not only is the Pope Polish, but he's a Hammerite too!

    And why is there a 2nd "Friends" painting in the vault? Is the one in the gallery a fake? If so, woulda been nice to have been able to at least take the real one!

    I'm writing a walkthru for this FM, and have run into a slight problem. I escorted Carlos to the start point, but he won't stay there. He keeps following me around. Plus, the objective didn't tick off. Anyone else have this problem?

    BTW, this was my first objective.

    Sorry Ricebug, I have no idea what's wrong with the mission. I can look at it, when I have time. The problem is, this mission is almost 4 years old and I have forgotten many things in this time.

    I started the mission over. I'll leave Carlos to rot in his cell while I complete the other objectives take care of him last.

    OK. Taking Carlos to your start point is just a fancy final objective. You have to take care of him last or else he'll follow you around while you try and complete your other tasks.

    I was planning to replay this mission today (through the NewDark mission loader), but the game crashes every time the mission is supposed to start. Is it just me, or is this related to the problems with GarrettLoader mentioned earlier in the thread?

    Carlos at start point but game doesn't end

    Never Mind, I just read a post that said there is a bug that prevents the game from ending.


    Hi, I have all the objectives met, Carlos was the last objective to complete, he has followed me to the start point and the game doesn't end.
    Here's the objectives that are unticked
    Get Carlos out of the Police Station and to your start area....(Thats where we are now)
    No Kills...( No kills done)
    when everything is done, return to where you started....(There right now)
    No more than 5 kos...(only did 2)

    so it should end

    The objective, Get Carlos out of the police station and take him to your start area! is the mission's final goal. You have to do this last (all other goals done) or the mission will not end and Carlos will just follow you around, making it impossible to try and complete any other objective.

    Now I know why you wrote this was a lot of work. When I looked at the DML, it looked like you fixed even more than what was listed. Must have been complicated!

    Unna and I keep working until we have fixed whatever needs fixing, however long or difficult that is. With this mission we must have made a dozen or more dml's and tested them to hell and back before we were happy, but it was worth it as it's a great little mission, a well designed map with some tricky area's and is satisfyingly tough on expert. Highly recommended.

    You're welcome. Please play this mission with my dml enabled. If ever you want update the mission, you can just load the dml a save it.

    There is a issue in this mission I couldn't fix: lights don't have a radius. This makes the mission very hard to sneak throught. But that's required on expert difficulty. I could set the light radius in a gamesys dml, but optimization is required then.

    fortuni was testing it about 10 times and was very, very desperate and whining on the testing forums.
