    As for the secret door you mentioned, I don't recall one there except for the one

    that you enter by, which closes behind you.

    How to get into Cathedral?

    Hello!

    So, 15 years later, people are still playing this mission for the first time (wow) :P

    I cannot get into the Mechanist Cathedral. I see two gates - one opens with a lever from the inside only, and the other is the gate to the cemetery, just past the two patrolling mechanists. Well, DromEd tells me the key to these cemetery gates is inside the cathedral itself... my lockpicks won't work, nor will any of the 5 keys I have.

    What am I missing? Help, please? I know it's been a looooong time, but no one mentioned anything about this in the previous comments.

    BTW, for me, the light gem bug doesn't exist, so that's one good thing. But, if I can't get into the cathedral via the cemetery, then the mission is un-finishable. Please help! Thank you!

    This is from a really old walkthrough I wrote. I hope it helps:
    Go back to the Police Station and down into the cell area. Frob the unlit torch holder on the back of the central pillar and a grate in the floor opens. Drop down through it into the water then mantle up into a hole on the west wall. Climb up onto the railroad car and push the button on the wall. At the end, move over to the next railroad car and do the same. At the end of this ride, climb the ladder on the wall and frob the lever on the wall up here, beside a doorway. Go through it into a tomb. On the coffins, you’ll find a small statue, worth 15g. (1420), a second statue, also worth 15g. (1435), 2 gold urns, worth 200g. (1635), a turquoise cup, worth 50g. (1685), and a 3rd small statue, worth 15g. (1700). Leave by an archway on the north wall, walk through a red curtained doorway and into a church.

    I wouldn't mind having a copy of the complete walkthrough... (hint hint)

    Since I can't climb in the window at the back of the police station no matter how much I try, I guess I will use that invisibility potion from the weapons dealer and run like hell.

    There is a house with a pair of metal doors. It is in a square behind the large winged golden statue which faces towards the cemetery. I can't unlock those doors. There is a window above and to the left of the doors which I can smash but cannot get through, the frame prevents me. How do I access that house please?

    I had to break the glass with a broadhead, then wait by the doors for the resident to come running out. I discovered it by accident while I was on a rope arrow trying to crawl through the window! I didn't climb down fast enough, and the doors closed. Luckily, I had saved just before shooting the rope arrow, so I could try again and break the window from the ground.

    The walkthrough that Nightwalker just sent me says she did the same thing.

    OK, thanks. I got in the window, but I'm not sure how. I took a crate up there and put in on the window ledge. While I was trying to get on top of it (not enough room), I suddenly found myself propelled through the broken window into the room.

    Could I have a copy of your walkthrough aswell? There are still several doors I don´t know how to open (for example the swordsmith or the door next to the police station..
