The Black Swords

In both Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 there are some special unique swords in the game with black blades. UW1 has one on level 7 & UW2 has 2 in the Tomb of Praecor Loth.

Does anyone know of the advantages, stats, or any other info on these swords over other jeweled swords of accuracy/damage in the game? The site linked below [1] claims they do slightly more damage, which is what I recollect from playing the game. Do they have any enchantments or is just that they're an homage to Elric of Melnibone and his notorious black blade Stormbringer?

Can anyone shed more light on these swords & their properties?

I haven't verified it in-game but for UW2 the black sword you find in the third level of Praecor Loth's tomb (the maze) is standard and has no special effects. However, the one that you find on the next level, on Lethe, appears that it may be enchanted to have Great Accuracy. You should be able to add that enchantment yourself with the VOY spell so it's not necessarily "special" in that regard. They don't have other magical effects as far as I know unlike some of the other special weapons.
