    That would be great Bukary!
I can't understand why it takes so long for the betatesters to finish the english translation, and why they haven't contacted Timon
I've pm'd both of them (Van Hellsing and JacekA) to ask about it's status but so far no reply.

    Forgotten Forest 2

Thanks Ulib and Bukary for your help
I am slowly but steadily progressing
    spoiler:
I have now five keys and already found how to use some of them, I visited the grotto or crypt () and saw the ghost of the young girl, I have now three objectives completed and more loot (1440). This mission is so good I feel it is kind of silly to do it without understanding a single word (except for brat : brother and komnata (reminds me of a Russian word : does it mean bedroom ?) and I'd say the story looks very compelling. I really LOVE all Timon's fan missions, I've done them all they show a lot of imagination and atmosphere. Thanks Bukary for asking Timon about the translation. Lol if I can finish the mission with all objectives complete in Polish that would be great Ulib have you completed the mission yet ? Yes, I found one globe with a cross on top of it thanks for the tip about the other two

Sorry for the mistakes. Perhaps someone will rewrite this properly?

In the first part of Forgotten Forest Garrett finds the secret entrance to the monastery in the abandoned tomb for monks. The second part starts with Garrett entering the monastery gate.

One of the notes on the wall next to the gate says who and why built this mission and warns the player about Timon's malice. One needs to remember about this while playing.

Right at the beginning Garrett meets some haunt and finds scattered bones. The question rises: what has happened in this abandoned monastery? Looking for some valuables lying around, Garrett finds a secret place in the basement. In this hiding-place there is some dead body (monk) and some note for other monks who look for something in the monastery. It says about a heresy and monks' mutiny. About some new religion, about Hammerites. The description of mutiny explains what was the cause of massacre. The other parts of the story can be read in the official history of the Order. It is located in the abbot's room and in the library. There you also find out about the mysterious Order of the Sword (objective: "As you remember, there was no tomb of the third abbot at the burial ground. Find out why. Perhaps his tomb waits for you loaded with treasures").

If you read the official history of the Order, new objective appears: "Find Gustavus' astronomical charts and make them yours".

A note that can be found in the vineyard says about some secret principle. Objective: "Find out about this secret principle". Garrett finds it in the mine and starts looking for the Sword and Shield of Metelon. Objectives: "Find the Sword of Metelon" and "Find the Shield of Metelon".

Objective: "Find out about this secret principle". In order to read the principle and get the key one needs to use three orbs. Garrett already has one. The other two can be found the monks' rooms. One in the abbot's room (secret switch!) and other under the council room (secret banner!).

It's good to search around the small library in the rooms that belong to the guardian of novices and take a good look at the green statue (the book on the shelf has different content and there are different objectives about this statue).

The visit in the dark cell or in the workshop makes ghost objective appear. Objective: "A ghost in the mine? There's never enough ghosts in one place? Find out if it exists". In order to fulfill this objective one has to find the gost in the mine.

In brothers' rooms one can get the objective about Adam's hiding-place and his key. [b]Objective[b]: "Find loot hidden by kleptomaniac". In order to fulfill this objective one has to look in the workshop.

Nearby we can find closed cell where lived one of the monks and some information about his disappearance. In the diary we can find Adam's secret and find out about his connections with the lost brother. The body is in the sewers. There's also some incredible possibility waiting for everybody in the sewers: (heavy spoiler!) you can talk to Timon and receive some present.

Wneh you reach some blocked entrance, new objective appears: "Find some entrance to the library".

This entrance is connected with the angel. The key for the vault is connected with the green statue.

It is good to check upper shelves in the library.

    All objectives:
    1) What was third abbot's secret?
    2) Time to go home. Get out of the monastery undergrounds after you've done everything else.
    3) Find out more about the mysterious massacre.
    4) Find the secret principle.
    5) Find some entrance to the library.
    6) Find the Sword of Metelon.
    7) Find the Shield of Metelon.
    8) A ghost in the mine? There's never enough ghosts in one place? Find out if it exists.
    9) Find loot hidden by kleptomaniac.
    10) Greenpeace suggests: do not destroy haunts. (Optional)
    11) Now you have to kill'em all! (You should have listened our advice - Greenpeace)
    12) Steal 3000.
    13) Steal 4000.
    14) Steal 5000.
    15) You're a Master Thief! Even the dead body cannot hide away from you. (Bonus)
    16) Curiosity is thief's virtue. (Bonus)
    17) Find Gustavus' astronomical charts and make them yours. (Optional)

    Yes, many thanks bukary.

I think I'll go ahead and play the FM now, as this could fill in a lot of the gaps.

well, i have started dabbling around in this one...and it looks fantastic...just the kind a like! but, i truly haven't much of a clue about what is going on. i think i have truly been humbled as non-english speakers play these fm's all of the time and do not give up! Bukary's post is a little helpful, but a good translation of stuff would work so much better for me! and, well, it is all about me isn't it?

Today I'll try to post few useful hints and advices. Especially about the location of the most important items and about their meaning. Remember, this mission is HUGE!

BTW, a question: I still have no idea when I should use "a" and when "the". Can you explain it to me clearly?

    This link might help http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/gramm...eterminers.htm

It depends on whether you are being specific. On a daily basis, I say 'I'm going to the bank' and everyone knows I mean NatWest. If I said I'm going to a bank' I could be going to any one of four different ones in our town.

'Find the horn of Quintus' would mean there was only one to find. 'Find a horn of Quintus' would mean there were several and I could just find one.

    Is that what you're after?

    Bukary,

    spoiler:
I now have the three orbs. I am playing on Expert and I think Timon has hidden them in a different place on Expert compared to what you explained in the list of objectives translated into English. Here are the places where I found them : one behind a panel in the booksheves in a room, in the small library and the other at the end of a secret passage in a room in an EXCELLENTLY WELL HIDDEN PLACE let me say ! and there's something else : in the Sala Posiedzen (Council room ?) where the benches are placed in a circular way there's a white and blue banner on the wall which I cannot slash with my sword. I know there's a room behind it through holes in the tapestry. Now, is this normal ? Do I have to fullfill an objective before ? Thank you for your help. I have set myself the task of completing the mission in Polish, at all costs

Now I've just understood why I can't do it it's all right !

I'm having a great time believe me !

    II) Monastery Map:

    III) Hints (Expert):

    OBJECTIVES:

    1) What was third abbot's secret?

You need to read the forbbidden part of Order's history and find out about the rise of the new god called Builder and the fall of the previous god - Metelon. It can be found in the library.

    2) Time to go home. Get out of the monastery undergrounds after you've done everything else.

You need to search for the exit in the dining room.

    3) Find out more about the mysterious massacre.
You need to find brother Konrad's notebook. It is hidden in the vineyard. To meet brother Konrad, check the fireplace located next to the Abbot Quarters.

    4) Find the secret principle.

You need to get to the mines and swim a little. Don't forget to take all the orbs with you! Need to find an alternative entrance to the mine? Search in the workshop (machinery area).

    5) Find some entrance to the library.

The library can be entered from the Council Room. The angel will help you. But you need to do some other things first. Search the Warden Quarters. He's got some nice library. And some nice statues there. Don't forget do visit the mines and take a bath there.

    6) Find the Sword of Metelon.

    It is in the vault.

    7) Find the Shield of Metelon.

It is in the vault. But you have to visit the Pharmacy first. Who's got the Pharmacy Key? It's obvious.

    8) A ghost in the mine? There's never enough ghosts in one place? Find out if it exists.

Search the mine. And touch everything.

    9) Find loot hidden by kleptomaniac.

Brother Edmund knows something about Adam the Kleptomaniac. He was even spying on him (their rooms are connected). He knew that Adam was hiding his loot in the workshop. Need Adam's Key? Search Monks Quarters.

    15) You're a Master Thief! Even the dead body cannot hide away from you. (Bonus)

The body is in the sewers.

    16) Curiosity is thief's virtue. (Bonus)

You need to pick all orbs up after you've used them.

    17) Find Gustavus' astronomical charts and make them yours. (Optional)

The charts are in the library. Under the table.

IV) Remember: there are LOTS of secret places and corridors here. Monks Quarters are connected to the Vineyard. There are few entrances to the library, mines etc. The vault entrance is hidden in the library. In order to open the Armory, check the Armory Office.

    The Mine

I'm having trouble finding out how to get into the mine. I read in one post you find something in the machine room. Is that the room with a patroling haunt where the lockers are? If so i can't see anything.

    Help!

Yes, there is something in this room. Look for a switch.

    Ulib,

Thanks for the tip !!!! Yes this is EXCELLENT for patient and persevering people ! I have now 7 objectives completed upon 12 on Expert
    What about you ???

    Bukary,

    spoiler:
I've placed my three orbs, discovered the passage to the old library and I'am now off to find the sword and shield. Timon is definitely the best as far as I'm concerned. I must confess I killed most of the haunts but when the English version is out I'll replay it without killing any. Promised !
What a great adventure. It can be done, yes, it can

    Timon,

    spoiler:
I LOVED the tinkling of the little bell and the beautiful coloured miniatures in the old library. Great taste ! Thank you once again. And I also appreciated your humour about Greenpeace and the haunts lol

Try to find all secrets and all secret corridors. There are MANY. The whole place is one big secret: moving walls, banners, mosaics, dozens of hidden switches and doors...

    Small hint:
You need to have the Vault Key.

    Bigger hint:
It is hidden in the Warden Quarters.

    Much bigger hint:
In order to get it you must read the librarian notes first.

    Great hint:
Then examine bookshelves in Warden's Library.

    Final hint:
And then check the statue in Warden's Library.

This riddle seems really difficult, because you don't understand the readables...
