Little Wheel is almost Pixar-cute. Great find.

Pretty neat, but that ain't it. I don't even know if the game ever came out. All I saw of it back in the day was a videoclip on a little webpage. It kinda reminded me of Heart of Darkness, but styled very much like Little Wheel.

I can remember everything about it cept the name. I've been googling like a mad bastard these last couple, but I still haven't turned up anything.

Hey Renz, managed to find what you were looking for thanks to the power of them googley-eyed people. I just typed "platform game boy silhouette factory" and poof! Brute forcing 'em keywords worked. Praise be to the googlies and their all-seeing eyes!

The game's called Limbo, looks pretty darned good. Ain't been released yet, apparently it's the project of this one guy in Denmark. Been no news about it since 2006, though. Ironically enough.

Really? I tried a ton of combination like that and didn't get jack. After spending a couple of hour googling and coming up with nothing, I had just about given up hope on ever finding it again.

    Thanks so much.

Forgetting to mention that it's from the developer of Zeno Clash, eh?

    You're quite welcome.

Also yes, Malstrum from Ace team. Love the retroness of it. Feels almost like those old Magnetic Scrolls games, which ain't a bad thing at all.

The game won't let you play it until it makes absolutely sure you don't miss that point.

Somehow I got dizzy the first few times I played this. My personal best is 89,000.

Daggerfall is now free to download on Bethesda's site. I'm correct in recalling only Arena was free before now, right?

Another free game to be released soon:

    MechWarrior 4

I don't think this has been linked here yet - RPS linked to this beautiful space shooter a while back, The Polynomial. Really nice graffix. Not quite free but the demo has a lot of gameplay.

Flash port of Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition. A promo for SF4 PC.

Keyboard only though, use Xpadder to get around that.

This is a nifty little thing I just ran across. Metroid Cubed. Basically Metroid made out of Voxels and rotated to a 3Dish isometric perspective. Hard to play, but still neat as all get out.

    Two old freebies

I realize this is old shit, but I came across Ronny Wester's website, still intact, thanks to "the way back machine."

    link

Has Cyberdogs and C-dogs (use dosbox to play these games, otherwise you can try to run them in windows) two old dos games that are pretty cool.

Here are some oldies for you:
    God of Thunder
This is a neat three-part game that began as shareware back in the day and was released as freeware not too long ago. You play as Thor, the thunder god, searching the land to find and destroy your evil brother Loki, the god of mischief, and his two cronies Jormangund and Nognir.
It's quite fun, really. You throw your hammer at enemies to kill them and also use it to solve some of the puzzles blocking your way. Gameplay is fun and interesting, and most puzzles actually require you to think.

    Speaking of thinking:
The Fool's Errand, etc. Here you'll find Cliff Johnson's old games including The Fool's Errand, 3 for Three, and many others, all free. I won't describe them all (I've only played Fool and 3 so far, actually), but they're definitely worth checking out if you like puzzle games.
