Epic freebies this round:
City of Gangsters
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
Some good EGS freebies this week!
Adios is a game I've been meaning to get since it came out 2 years back. Compelling-looking story of being a pig farmer trying to cut his ties with the mob.
Hell is Others is a top-down shooter I'd never heard of, but it has 78% on metacritic, so probably quite good!
edit: alright, just played through Adios. It's pretty rough around the edges, but it does strike a nice mood. I liked it.

Epic freebie this week: Recipe for Disaster
Epic freebie this week: Warpips
Looks like an RTS variant off the old Worms games, with two militaries facing off trying to cross to the other side of the playing field. Or it might be more in Tower Defense territory, where it's just a constant stream of baddies incoming from the right.
The Alien Breed trilogy is also on giveaway on GOG for a limited time.
Free for next three-ish days:-
Biing!: Sex, Intrigue and Scalpels on GOG.com

DUSKERS is this week's EGS freebie!
DUSKERS, BABYYYYYYY! Thread. I liked this weird lil game where you explore derelict spaceships by typing command line prompts to your drones. It's very atmospheric and tense and bleak and scary in a very minimalist way. I only ended up playing 6 hours of it, feeling I'd had my fill, but it's a very interesting game and one I'd recommend everyone give a whirl now that it's free.
Duskers is cool. It really captures the "less is more" philosophy for intensity, like the airduct scene in Alien. You give the player just enough info and atmosphere to sense the danger in the darkness and let their imagination take over from there. I'd like more games to play with this idea.
Speaking of Epic (henke's backlog reducin' post), this week's Epic freebie is Rise of Industry.
Epic freebie this week: Call of the Sea
I played that when it was in the game pass. It's fine.
Looks pretty good. According to Steam it has a good story and solid puzzles and it's short too so I might actually get around to giving it a try.
A related shoutout to Epic's captchas these days. I'm kinda sick of training Muskrat's pedestrian crossing/traffic light detection AI, but bunnies and hedgehogs surrounded by flowers? Sure!
Some brave developers have taken it on themselves to fix Myst. Check out MYST FPS.
Somewhere, John Walker is either chuckling or raising a fist to the heavens in anger. Or both.
Epic freebie this week: Gladius
I also saw some Borderland's 2 related game for free: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep ...
GOG Giveaway for the next however many hours: Lorelai
To give some context, this is the third entry in the dark and twisted (and at times downright nasty and genuinely disturbing) horror series The Devil Came Through Here, with the first two being Cat Lady and Downfall. You should probably start with Cat Lady and play the games in order for maximum impact. Also, all of the content warnings.
Epic freebie this week: Chess Ultra and some World of Warships starter ship, which requires you to have gotten the base game first, also free.
Sludge Life is free on Steam before 30th March. Looks decidedly odd.
