    this is a bit embarrassing...
I started working at a new company in the fall, and a certain co-coworker (not in my department, I never learned his name) seemed familiar... He had some trouble walking, as if he had hip problems that gave him a loping stride. He also had some breathing problems, leading him to sniff and snort frequently.
I finally realized why he seemed familiar when I saw him walking away from the water cooler and raise a cup to his mouth - and I thought he would blow-dart me!
yes, I thought (for a split-second!) that he was an ape-beast

I just stumbled across this statue on a clock when strolling through an antiquities fair. The plaque underneath read something French with "Industria", if I'm not mistaken.

(Sorry for the low quality and annoying image hosting service)

It reminds me of a certain fan mission. Its the old abandoned tunnel in Strunjan, Slovenia, where 100 years ago they built a railway from Trieste (Italy) to Poreč (Croatia), called Parenzana.

It looks (the lights) like travelling ghost in Bafford last stand.

Entrance of the half-timbered town hall of Alsfeld, Hesse, Germany.

BTW, if you find good photos on Flickr, and the uploader disables downloading or direct linking (like they did for the one above), simply save the page, it will download the full sized photo along with it.

    Not sure where this is:

I think I found the Trickster's domain here on earth

The Hoia-Baciu Forest has a reputation for paranormal activity. People have witnessed numerous strange events on the land. The most common phenomenon includes the sudden appearance of mysterious orbs of light, female voices breaking the heavy silence, giggling, apparitions, and cases of people being scratched. All these things happen with no reasonable explanation.

    Hello there,
I'm new to this forum and since I couldn't find any 'say hi' thread I decided to post here. I am a Thief fan since 1999 and this game actually got me into gaming, so I've been looking for thiefy stuff around since then here's my humble contribution (sorry for small thumbnails but I haven't figured out how to add full size pics from my computer, it seems it does not work)

Poland, abandoned hospital. Reminds me of the scariest location in TDS. Doesn't look very creepy here (but check it out here ) yet it used to be a mental asylum before the war. In 1939 when Nazi troops came, they killed all patients. Some claim the building to be haunted. Believe or not, but once you know the story behind it, you change the way you look at this place.

Cruach Tairbeirt forest walk, Scotland. Very small, but so magical place and it reminds me a lot of Trickster domain

And here's another forest near my home and I actually spotted Trickster there

Poland, abandoned hunting mansion. Doesn't look very dark or thiefy but somehow reminds me of Constantine mansion, because of all these plants and tree bark on walls. And there were lots of flies, moths and spiders inside, believe me

Inside the mansion, the contrast between dark interior and colours outside looks a bit like in old Thief cutscenes to me.

Keep to the shadow and watch out for loud steps on those tiles

    Hope you liked it

Whoa, that looks disturbingly close! Welcome to the forums by the way (a bit odd coming from me as I'm also fairly new )!

As for my real-life associations with Thief, I recently found myself adding a "don't kill anyone" objective to my daily to-do list.

Well this is the place for those marvellous images but we do have a thread in Fan Missions forum, not far off its 12th anniversary - Who Are You? It would be great to hear from our new[ish] members.

Its three-dimensionality (is there a better word for the very plastic appearance?) is astounding: http://www.bran-castle.com/assets/castle/26-full.jpg
