That's what I was thinking. Problem is the textures are so blasted flat (they don't support bmps, i'm guessing to give them a bit of depth) that it sort of spoils the effect. In my opinion at least.
On the other hand, if you could get a good texture for it, then stack enough real barrels in front of it that you couldn't get up *too* close to it, it'd probably do the trick nicely. Even one layer rack/shelf to keep you from going nose to wall with the texture. . .

Man, that's a weird-looking thing! I wouldn't exactly call it a Castle though!
I'd love to live in it though, especially since it's surrounded by all those trees!
Wow, that's more like it! It's alright for some, isn't it?
I really must stop looking at threads like this. They really help to depress when you're living in a poxy rented flat!

Oh, Neuschwanstein: http://www.neuschwanstein.com/! At the first look I was confused because it's mirror-inverted. If somebody is making a FM of it, don't forget to put a crazy king in it that is humming some WagnerWow, that's more like it!
And don't worry Sluggs, nobody lived in that castle after Ludwig II died. Today it's a tourist attraction.

Just a link:

The pictures linked in by "Garret" on page 6 are of Nürnberg, before WW2.
Why, oh why did we have this bottom feeder of dictator The post WW2 architecture we have sucks. Here in munich we have a street called "Sonnenstraße". Before WW2 it was a marvel of architecture, but after WW2 it got a desert of faceless buildings.
Now some pictures I made:
that first picture has some weird stonework.
Some in the middle are from Aachen, aren't they?
Dudes, sorry to ressurect this thread but if anyone wants to see a creepy setting they should check out Sheffield General Cemetary around sunset. There's a desecrated church, lots of monumental grave stuff and a kind of bricked-up mausoleum where the zombies live. Seriously, it will inspire you to wet the bed.
