FM from Christine: Mountain Monastery - 2006-10-05

    Hello Tafferettes and Taffers,

    Christine finished another mission.

    The Mountain Monastery

    Get it here:
    http://thiefmissions.com/info.cgi?m=MountainMonastery

    Excerpt from the readme:
This is an old mission. I started to build it shortly after 'The Night Falcon' then I abandoned it and it slumbered for several years on my harddrive in a folder called 'Various Crap'. One day - while cleaning up my computer - I tripped over it again.
On April 1st I posted a few screenshots of it in the German Thief forum and fooled everyone by saying: 'Look, my new upcoming mission!' :-D
Actually I wanted to delete it but while I was waiting for the English translation and voice files for 'UNN Nightwalker' I was so bored that I finished this mission. It's a nice but simple mission - nothing special, just my usual stuff so please don't expect too much! Perhaps it would have been better to delete it but on the other hand, a few players might like it...

Thank you Jason for hosting (and for your incredible velocity)!

    Have fun with it!

Sweet! I was hoping she'd churn out another one some day.

    I've always admired her architecture...

    Edit: The screens look promising!

If it carries the 'Christine Schneider' name, the quality is guaranteed !

All her missions are so incredibly detailed, I like to wander around admiring her architecture almost as much as I enjoy playing her FM's.

She's one of the all time great Thief 2 designers, I look forward to downloading it as soon as there are enough slots free on the server.

I've been swimming around and ever so slightly () lost for a while now. I know I need to find a portal and destroy it, and I have the hammer, but I can't for the life of me find the portal!

I'm having a blast with this one, I can't believe it nearly got deleted! And I can't believe the build time! Only seven days?! That's less time than it takes me to build two little missions! Christine must've been replaced with a machine at some point, I can't even imagine how fast she must've been working to churn this out that fast!

(What the hell is it with women and chocolate lads, ????. )

Hahaha!!! I (almost) NEVER eat chocolate ....... (well sometimes some cherry-liqoired ones) but I make some "room'" for Christines ones. She bakes THE best ones!!!

So P Forth: ......... what's with the remark ??? ........ ánd the "lads" remark?!!! I notice that more men in my environement eat chocolate more often than I know women do .......

Perhaps men need more of the "upgrading stuff" that "goes" with the chocolate explotion of "good" feelngs a.s.o. getting ..... what shall I say: in GOOD SHAPE"............?!!!

But, this post should be going about the FM game ......... so ....let's focus on the Christine's game ....... the one she released recently!

    Gloria Creep

Hee.... I'm an angel ...........nót a fool!

Gloria, you nice lady,................., it was just a bit of fun.
You know what us lads are like at times.

I agree, this should be about Christine's FM.

So, sorry Gloria, and sorry Christine. ( and sorry Lady Nightwalker ).

But again, it is so nice to see Christine back.
I make no apologies for saying that.
    OK ladies. ???

Look on the left side for a vinedecal and a cave to the portal

....oh no, I worked nearly 2 month on it, while I was waiting for the voiceactors for the UNN Nightwalker and I can't remember how long I worked on it bevor I abandoned it....

That's strange that the time got messed up like that . . . maybe that only shows the time you worked on it since you started working on it again? Good to know you're still human!

Beat the mission, but I have a feeling there's a certain two things that I didn't complete . . . going to look closer into it, see if I can't figure them out on my own.

This is a very nice FM Christine. I'm glad you decided to finish it.

I noticed the new plants everywhere! I think the only gripe i have with this mission is the lack of ambients outside. It would have been nice to hear the wind and a few other ambients.

One always gets fed well in your FMs! I'm a bit stuffed at the moment!

you can't hear ambient sounds outside for outside I used original sounds from Thief II - mainly schema m07night.

Personally, I prefer savoury things myself...P Forth but it did make laugh. I have often wondered that myself.

Cheers, Christine! Something to brighten up my day especially since its raining.
