Out of interest, who is going to play Thief: Constantine’s Sword?

Just found out that they are releasing a WAP version of thief, check the press release. Seems rather corney to me. Apologies if this has already come up, been slightly out of touch (must find placement, must find placement) but a search did not return anything.

Hmm.. that's quite interesting but I don't think I'll be playing it. That's what thief 1 on my computer is for =P

Not having a mobile phone I don't believe I shall, but that is silly anyway. If you can't go ten minutes without playing thief then you're in some serious trouble. Uh oh! It's been ten minutes I gotta go!

Not quite a falcon, but close enough to be just as dangerous.
Clan NBU~Just 'cause you can't see us doesn't mean we aren't there.
    Go play some thief!

Why does EIDOS do these things?!

Developed by a different developer, gameplay sounds completely different (get to the exit without detection over 60 levels?) - where do they get off calling it Thief? It's just bastardization of Thief, in my opinion.

EIDOS, we understand you need to make money, really we do - but call it something else, fer Garrett's sake!

Hmm... vaguely amusing FM name: WHAP WAP

Like anyone's got enough time to waste that they would, though

It says "Wap enabled phones". Probably means you have to be "online" some way or the other, and certainly it'll cost... [Tsk Tsk]

"from Eidos’ critically acclaimed PC title"

Bah, I don't agree with that ! They make it sound like Eidos should get all the credit for making Thief: the Dark Project. Not one word about Looking Glass Studios or it's ex employees !

How come I think about a re-release of "pong" with state of the art graphics, new sophisticated AI and all-around improved gameplay? Dunno...

It seems like it would be more logical to have a GameBoy Advance (TM) version of Thief*, rather than a wacky phone version, but they may be trying to be the first to nab the new market.
    Or something.

    * Not that I advocate making a GBA version of Thief, but you'd think it would make a buck or two, which is, after all, the name of the game. I like commas. Thank you.

Hey, I know it is sort of a sad attempt at making some $$$. But really it will advertise for the past Thief games and the upcomming Thief3, won't it? And that can't be bad.

Has anyone actually used it yet? I have the phone but I don't have the connecter or whatever that you need in order to get stuff off the net. I am rather interested as to how this is like thief. I mean phone games are lower quality than Atari. So what exactly did they do. I mean are you a square in a maze with a bunch of other squares they call "guards" moving around and you "sneak" around them and when you're standing behind them you press # to blackjack?

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a thief ring tone too... [erg]

WAP stands for Wireless Access Protocol and is essentially a way to access the Internet through a mobile device (usually a cell phone). The technology has been commercialized only very recently. A "WAP enabled phone" means that it can accept WAP signals and process them.
