WEll, nothing but good news, albeit nothing new, from this podcast. Get the game done already!

Nice that they're getting a bit longer.

There were a few good things in it.
Sorry, Dylan, but your last statement does not compute... sweet talking, boats, toys, videos, 2k? what are you trying to say?
Two different things, hence the line break.
It would be nice to know when the video is coming out exactly.
Tease!
*sigh* Videogame marketing reps... This is the only industry where the marketing reps are paid to be uncooperative to their customers.
We get exclusive podcasts with Ken, photos of the dev team in their natural habitat, inside looks at the art process... In short, a bunch of really cool stuff far above and beyond the usual trickle of screens that publishers release. How is that uncooperative? Yeah, I want to see the X06 video too, but sheesh, have a little gratitude for the effort that 2K and Elizabeth have made.
I can't think of many games that give updates twice a week like this. We're getting spoiled.
apart from that, a better podcast, especially together with the other 1h podcast KenLevine still manages to convince me that he gets exactly
all the thing I think are important in games.
The "roving" mini-boss fights.
He mentioned the invention system again (!).
I was shocked to hear Ken thinks stealth-games are boring
(BRING BACK GARRETT !!!!!) and he doesn't care if SS2 gets an sequel.
another mentioning of NPCs using the environment as well
(healthstations, cover, ...)
No mention where they are standing in the development process.
Mentioning of other NPCs you will have relations with
(apart from BD, LS, Splicer and Ryan) and gameplay-changes
for certain paths you take (help from someone or not).
but please, pretty please, don't oversaturate the public with infos, videos and
announcements like Crysis is doing. Nothing worse than a hyped public
and then you have to postpone the game's release. this would kill
all momentum the game has build up till then.
Perhaps I'm wrong on this, but I'll give it a go. I think he would be interested in doing a follow up for SS. Problem is all the BS and politics related to TTLG going under and EA developers rights to the game. For me, SS2 was/is the best game I have ever played. Period. I have followed the plight of a follow up game for years. I've donated money to the TTLG forums here to get some info related to SS2 follow up. Several years ago I sent Ken and his team an e mail where I would donate $250.00 to a SS follow up, NO STRINGS attached. I just wanted another installment of the game that bad. Ken e mailed me back with a thanks, but declined. Reality soon set in after that. Ain't going to happen. Rumor has it EA may do a follow up, but chance of ken and his team doing it are at this point in time, very slim indeed.he doesn't care if SS2 gets an sequel
What I like about SS2 is still very much alive. A creative game developer whom doesn't have his head up his ass when it comes to game play/ creativity. His top priority doesn't seem to be bottom line profit, but rather a great game that will sell well [hopefully-fickle lot us gamers] and make a great profit. If he was all about making money, a follow up to Swat would have been in order right about now. I'm impressed with what they have shown and told us about Bio Shock. I look forward to Ken and his team giving me/us an adventure in creativity. I'm planning a couple days vacation from work when Bio Shock comes out so I can immerse my self in Rapture. Why not, some take vacation to go golfing at some resort. I'm going on vacation to go to Rapture. Wonder if I'll need to make reservations.
Thanks to all for keeping us up to date on Bio Shock
Since when? How are we still posting?Problem is all the BS and politics related to TTLG going under...
My error! I should have said looking glass. Was recalling all of this from memory. Been a while since I looked into this subject related to SS2.After the company folded, people from Looking Glass went on to work at Ion Storm, Irrational Games, Harmonix, Arkane Studios and to found Digital Eel, amongst other later studios. Ion Storm developed Thief: Deadly Shadows, the third game in the Thief franchise. Ex-Looking Glass personnel have worked on such games as Deus Ex, Half-Life 2, Freedom Force, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, among others.
The following people worked on projects with Looking Glass Studios (by no means an all-inclusive list):
Sorry
