You can download the video from here. You will need this program to play it or mplayer.

    Nice stuff by the way...

Two videos in one day. Nice.

For this one, I particularly liked the Tyndall effect ... the way the light streams in from the windows. Not a new thing, but an underwater version of it is atmospheric.

So sparce in info...yet so rich in allure.
The pathos of the mourning big daddy,as he leaks gas and fluids from battle.
    The haunting laughter.
    Wow.
    That is marketing.
I felt something...I think it moved.

It seems the general public doesn't like quality things though

I don't understand why anyone who knows anything about games wouldn't be waiting eagerly for BioShock.

The whole of Looking Glass' history showed that people don't know quality when they see it. Maybe in twenty or so years, games will have a bit more respect than they currently do (in terms of being an artform), and the average Joe will be better at distinguishing gold from shit.

You know, i ask alot of people about this game on xbox live and hardly anyone has even heard of it ..its pretty sad realy, especialy considering all the work they are putting in to bring this to a bigger audience.

The developer and the publisher need to advertise their project lots of times to make it well known and eagerly awaited.

I think there's probably an ideal time-frame for publicising the release of a new game. I'm sure a lot of people will know about it soon enough (basically closer to the release date).

Is there a hi-res downloadable version without a watermark available?

I found this little tidbit in this thread,Any comments or enlightenment from you old time TTLG'ers.

"I want this to be even Scarier(tm) than the combination of Shock 2, all those haunted Thief levels, the first time a fiend jumped at me in Quake and the experience of watching someone play Overblood combined. "

You are in luck. The guy who made "The Cradle" in Thief 3 was contracted in for a section in Bioshock.

    Who is this man?

So let me get this straight...

Bioshock is a genuinely creepy game by default, but you're hiring a guy to make a level that's scary - relatively speaking?

That must make that level unplayable.

AlexxKay mentioned null in another thread... he said they snatched him for the design department, so does this mean game or level design?

I could not agree more! In fact, I think that this is the greatest quote about BS that I've ever heard.
