Design the BioShock Limited Edition Box

The Cult of Rapture site has gotten a redesign, and now there's a new contest:

To give you some backstory, this idea began because of a fan in the 2K forums, Rapture_Tourist gave us an awesome idea with his very detailed fan art of a possible BioShock Limited Edition. We loved the feeling of his etched metal casing, and want to run with it. (See his design here.)

So now, for the next two weeks, I’ll be collecting submissions for designs that could go on the front of the BioShock Limited Edition box.

I like the steel case, but I think the slipcase could do with a nice distant shot of Rapture, to emphasize how isolated it is (and because it looks pretty).

So the fans get to design the limited edition box?

This is absolutely beyond awesome. If Irrational Games was a hot babe, I'd throw a sack over her Borat style and marry her.

Now, if only I could draw something other than a retarded stick figure in Paint...

Illustrator, black and white, no soft edges / gradients etc. This is for embossing.

That is the most innovative box art I have seen to date. Great job.

    ... and now I can't un-see Vigil's entry as goat.se. Thanks so very much.

Granted, I've been most fortunate thus far, and don't think I've ever seen it for more than a millisecond or so, so quite a bit is left to my imagination, but still.

The ring gave it away immediately

The disturbing thing is that Vigil either visualised the position and inferred the correct location for the ring, or he used the original as a reference.

And I'm laughing over here imagining him in the stance trying to determine which finger is the left ring.

Westnet, an Australian ISP, have been sporting a goat.se-esque logo for at least a year or two. Even the slogan seems to hint at it.

'It's service that sets us apart'? You'd have to push that quite a long way to get a double-entendre out of it.
