You gave third place to a design based upon a well-known shock website of a man stretching his anus.

    That is seriously awesome.

It's a chilling metaphor for entering the bowels of terror, clearly.

    Congrats Vigil!

I tried to convince myself that was just a coincidence, but then I noticed the ring

Congrats to the winner, and Vigil and BriareosH for representing and scoring points, in Vigil's case bonus points. A fine hour for team ttlg, I must say.

I've never heard it referred to as "gritty" before. Usually the words used are more like retching sounds.

    Well played, Vigil.

This is either the best competition result ever, or the best bit of viral marketing in history... and the best competition result ever.

Vigil, if I had a hat, I'd take it off to you. Hell, I'm going out right now to buy a hat just so I can take it off to you. Bravo, sir.

honestly i think they all kinda blow..i would have used the screenshot of the female splicer screaming..or something else or that nature..something disturbing and in your face to draw people to the cover..

LE's don't usually equate well with impulse buying. The whole idea is the buyer wants something a little special, which sort of implies some forethought, or at least a little more reflection than just the level of knee jerk shock-factor, but something that really draws you in at a deeper level and thinking of the bigger investment. I'm happy they're going with a classic look. This is something I'd want to have standing on my shelf with a little pride, not something in-your-face that I'd want to hide in a drawer.

(Edit: By the way, that's one reason that makes Vigil's design so deliciously subversive because it skirts that line so masterfully.)

I don't have a hat, and I ain't buying one, so I will take off my pants in your honour instead Vigil. You are my Internet Hero of 2007 and it's only mid-May.

Any other TTLG entries in the final dozen then? Which one is yours Briar?
