Good stuff masterthief but i wanted more. Beautiful to look at. I half expectedspoiler:the statue to come after me![]()
masterthief3, only just started playing but I dare say you should have entered this into the Master of Horror contest...
Can someone upload to a place other than rapidshare please![]()

It's a pity that this mission is SO short. It only took me 16 minutes to finish.![]()
But the FM is so creepy! I expected something in every dark corner! Fantastic atmosphere!
spoiler:I wonder why I got so many holy arrows. One single shot at the leader killed all three haunts in the church.![]()
How do I get out of the mining facility?
It is a bit, isn't it? Still, it was fun while it lasted.
The flare was a good idea. In normal circumstances, that would have made sneaking very difficult, but it didn't really matter in this mission.
I liked all the new voices I also thought the area right at the start was pretty cool. I had to stop for a bit and look around just there.
I noticed ye forgot some room brushing in the forging room Dropping down into those pits resulted in the loss of sounds.
Thanks for the mission.
@ Ganac, spoiler:Go right back to the big room full of the pews and you'll find something there that'll aid you in yer quest
Thief + Penumbra.Nice idea.
Needs a few more AI,s and to be a bit longer. but otherwise,.......cool and creepy.

First impressions:
I have no equipment, no weapons, no people to blackjack, nothing; just darkness and a flare... and I love it! Excellent mission! I vote for this in the Masters of Horror-contest and I don't care if it's not actually in the contest
All that darkness actually makes me nervous, and I usually love it. Having to rely on a flare is excellent; it's both my friend and my worst enemy.
This mission drew me right in from the start with its great atmosphere.
Edit:
I forgot to mention the background ambience: perfect.

I agree. Should be in the Masters of Horror Contest, and winning.
Seriously dude, you should have just double-timed it with this mission and released if for the MoH contest- it would have stood a good chance of winning! Sure it's not as visually impressive as a couple of the missions in the contest, but it's much scarier than all of them (maybe not scarier than "Torn Apart", but that's because that mission uses tons of cheap scare tactics whereas this one uses a slow and steady establishment of tension). I honestly got severely creeped out during this mission-spoiler:the whole time when I was wandering through the sewer pipes I was just waiting for some zombie or ghost to pop into my field of view and scare the hell out of me. The whole thing with the statue disappearing really got me on edge, and when I finally got to the room where the haunt appears, I was at the point where a jump moment might have flat-lined me.
Really great, can't wait for your next one!
Also-spoiler:is there any way into those two locked rooms to the right of the room with all the bones in it?
[Edit] Just realized I was about the hundreth person (or uh...fourth person anyway...) to suggest this should have been entered in the contest. Here's my question- would it REALLY be that big a deal to just make this the fifth entrant into the contest? It missed the deadline by a hair and really, there's no conceivable advantage this mission would have against the others. Sure we know the author's name, but he's a brand new author (as far as I know), so no one would be voting for him out of sheer favoritism? Ah well, just a (probably bad) idea...

Done. I had a good time and it made me crave for more. The only complaint I have is that it could have been a bit longer. The great build up promised for more.
Great voice actors and especially the guard conversation (and I tend to be very picky when it comes to voice acting). One thing that struck me as odd, though, was the "heaving" sounds of Metras. For example when I mantle onto something he sounds like he's taking a sip of cold beer or something (first a slurp and then a satisfied "Aah!")... or maybe I'm just used to Garrett. Anyway, it's not a huge complaint.
I too wonder about those locked doors. Also, what about the hole in the wall behind the crates?
"I got a baaad feeling about this"
Edit: Finished. Nice polished mission. Thankyou![]()

spoiler:I really liked the permanent flare, even more so when I discovered I could light torches with it! I'd also like to see more dark missions like this where you actually need flares.
I must say that this fm was the funnest voice acting job I've ever had. (I played Metras, btw) It was pretty much my normal voice the entire time. I loved it.
Oh and the mission rocks too.
spoiler:The haunt in the doorway after reading the book made my heart stop.
EDIT: Oh, and I had received the mission to test before the contest deadline. I was very disappointed by the number of entrants so I offered to let him enter it but he had already made a preview thread for it.![]()
