Thats some amazing animation, i cant believe that tour of the city is real time, just look at that squid!!

The video contains 4 minutes of footage, almost all of which is unseen. Audio (and some superimposed footage) of several Irrational employees talking about the game is also played.
There is a really cool section that shows a Big Daddy killing a splicer. He shoves a drill into the splicer, slams him against the wall, and then some glass which cracks as the splicer hits it!
There's a low res video and two high res versions, an MP4 and a WMV. The MP4 is great quality and much smaller than the WMV, so get that!

That is a damn nice video. The motion blur/bloom/whatever else seems a lot more gentle than I can remember seeing it so far and it looks slick as anything.
I like that bit with the Big Daddy going to work on that splicer. Yowch. I guess it's from that semi scripted first encounter the other previews talk about.
Oh and spotto Ex-LG and Keeper voice Nate Wells (everyone has probably known he was working there for months, so just call me Johnny)

Whats the deal with "sexual themes" on the e.s.r.b. rating?
Yeah kens got one hell of a sense of humor, i don't think i've ever seen such a scripted *looking* game!!!!
scripted = polished/cinematic, so i'm not complaining
Its a shame Greg Kasavin has left game spot, he would have given the game the 8 hr marathon review it deserves
On what we've seen in the new footage, id give the graphics and sound 97% each

Is it just me, or does this video suspiciously look like it could be an excerpt from the "Making of" Commentary DVD that's going to be included in the limited edtition of Bioshock?
As for the video itself . . . wow. I'm pretty speechless. The way the Big Daddies attack those Splicers is incredible.
Interesting, some BD/LS backstory:
"... stay close to a friend". Adam extraction device on the counter too.
The scene in which that sign appears, is just adorable in a twisted sort of way. With the Little Sister waiting for a Big Daddy to arrive and take care of her. Then he holds out his hand, she reaches out, and he pats her on the head. Really remarkable.
Also, I noticed the Little Sisters' voices in this video were not the "Lisa Simpson from hell" version. Glad to hear the real "little girl" sounding voice again.
The way the color variation is done on the Little Sisters, and especially the Big Daddies, is interesting. Different colored glowing eyes and dresses for the Little Sisters, and different colored paint or cloth/fabric on the Big Daddies.
Anyone else notice the statue of the Little Sister as well?
Glad to hear the Little Sister voice appears to be back to normal (if you can call that normal).
Incredibly impressive all around.
you're all infected now..im not watching it, it could one of those things!
FLAMETHROWER, FLAMETHROWER!!
Nextgen eyecandy less aggressive, textures more detailed, sharper angles : hey could it be the PC version in all its glory here ???
Yes, player movements feel "paddy", but they could play it with gamepad for more stable camera, and I heard they regularly test the game directly on PC because the process is faster than on X360...
edit : the page name is clear : "BioShock Official Movie 3 for PC Download at GameSpot"

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean anything. Take a look at this page.
Xbox 360 page
At the top it says "BioShock Official Movie 3 for Xbox 360 Download", and it's the same video.
That being said . . . I wonder, if indeed, some of the footage is perhaps from the PC. The parts with the player in combat seem to be from the 360, due to the jerky movement and aiming. (Though the 360 controller can be used on a PC.) But the parts where we're a spectator and the camera follows the Little Sisters and Big Daddies, might be on the PC. I'd think it would be easier to do that sort of thing (be in "debug" mode so they can spectate) on the PC. But we have no way of knowing.
That video kicked so much ass! When the big daddy got that splicer, there was no escape! And what is with the tommy gun? What kind of bullets were those?
To the best of my knowledge (and I could be wrong), all currently released videos have been taken from the 360 version.

man, thatīs amazing! I canīt wait to put my fingers on this game!
As for the video, what can I say, the part from the opening sequence reminds me so much of Jules Verne, It is fantastic.
And when the big daddy holds up the little sister, God, itīs just incredible, absolutely gorgeous!.
Check my cheesy little fan vid,
Be kind its my first one, didn't come together quite as well as it looked in the editor, I had that shit so tight

Would love it if that music was in the game
I just wonder how It could look better īcos the 360 version is absolutely incredible!
Both of the recent polish previews (in CD-Action and Click!) mentioned that while the 360 version looks good, the PC version looks much better.
