When you see him there should be a text on the screen(in german) giving you an idea what to do. Since you'll probably having problems to understand it:
you have to pick him up, take him up the ladder and lay him on the bed
Then there's a new text:
You have to find something to wake him up!
For everybody else: the writer is already working on the translation, please be patient
You'll have to wake him up:
spoiler:Bring him up the ladder and drop him onto the bed. Next, go and find something to wake him up.

You probably haven't pached your Thief2 installation to Version 1.18 yet. Check The Fan Mission FAQ on how to do it.
Otherwise you're missing the correct gen.osm script. You can get it from here:

Just extract the two files for Thief2 into you main Thief 2 folder and overwrite the existing ones.
Restart the Mission afterwards.
I can't see any Objectives at all on Expert, just a Fixme message. Can anyone tell me what they are, in English, please?
Please do not start translating it independently, I'm on it already. For the texts are my own, I would really like to do this myself.

Playing on expert and can't seem to get very far without someone spotting me and ending the mission. Have used two different entry points. Is it unusually hard to progress on expert or am I missing something?
It's intended to be quite difficult on expert. But it's playable. You just have to do some things in a certain order to make it much easier for you. This order is designed logically, so you shouldn't have a problem to figure this one out.

Mamma Mia!!! After finishing Sceptor of Dor Am'al, I am back to this castle. I guess I am not following the logic or do you need to be able to read German to catch on what to do? I have been in 10 rooms, collected 5 keys and 3 "speciality items" and haven't a clue where to go next without getting clobbered.
I guess you need some textual hints. Which special items have you found yet?
I've found shoes, bouquet and garter.
Let me know if it would be better to wait for the English translation to play this mission. Thanks.
