No idea what he wanted with it

    A pretty generous stash

Since he wasnt scripted to stand guard he went around and cleaned every corpse after yet another attack on the agroprom building. What a leech

    Brains?

Heh, there doesn't seem to be any weight limit for NPCs in AMK does there.
Agroprom a couple of days after you complete it and it goes 'wild' becomes an absolute bloodbath (semi realistic weapons may have something to do with this, although everywhere else it seems to help keep things a bit more even).
There was one bandit there who obviously had the run of the place as the last survivor. He must have had fifty guns, not counting pistols. His inventory scrolled for 2.5-3 pages.

Excellent. The NPCs are doing tedious work of collecting stuff for the player.

I love OL. Stalker was always a fun game, but this mod, with everything jacked up to max, makes for a damn experience.

During the day, everything is all nice and sunny. Trees casting shadows everywhere, wildlife running hither and fro, killing stuff and eating it. The randomness of it makes for a much more interesting game.

Then night came. And the night was crazy dark. And things happened. Horrible things. Specially during the moment between the stormy sunset and moonrise...

    ...when everything was pitch black.

I decided to head down to the garage (car park) to make a few trades with the friends I made during the earlier siege. Little did I realize that they had long since been executed, and the place was taken over by yet more bandits. Discovering this in the dead on night, when the only sounds were the screams of amazingly insane people and animals off in the distance, and angry Russians shouting angry Russian words at me in pitch black darkness made for a surreal and more than kinda creepy experience.

I manage to kill a few and escape. I go across the checkpoint, which I'd cleared during the day (ran one guy down with a car , killed the rest at gunpoint), traded with a random guy across the way, then headed back across the same checkpoint to sleep the night away in the rafters of the abandoned factory...only to find two boars feeding on the corpses. The whole thing was so random and unexpected, it scared the absolute hell out of me.

So anyway, yeah. I was immersed bigger than ten of em. It was good fun.

Yeah. You can flip an option under the screenshots tab that tells it to capture the FPS overlay. I left it on so I could brag about my performance...but subtly so.

    Good, I bought it.

I think that overlay option must be in newer versions, my Fraps 2.0 (the last completely free functional version, I think) doesn't have it.

Good one, you stole my idea when I saw it there.

I think this was the winner of "The Ugliest Dog In The World" Contest.

Well I think this one takes the cake. I was having crash issues in CS so when I got to the red forest, I instantly left and then later came back, and instead of following the path of guy on picture where he ran off, I went to the right, hours later ending up past the trigger that was to trigger the ambush, and this dude was sitting there, crouched and he didn't shoot me or anything, and I couldn't kill him.

I just got my new computer. Now I am finally able to play Stalker in its full glory.

    I like the shadow!

Did I mention that I like the shades?

I laughed and felt bad about it.

Do you have AA? Or it doesn't work with STALKER?

  18. #118
Hm, I guess I didn't turn AA on.
Anyways, I started Stalker from the very beginning and try to do every little task, and examine every area. On my first run I actually skipped so many places. I really missed a lot of things. For example I never got the scientist to the lab alive. He was always dead when I tried to rescue him. Now, there are so many new and cool things to discover. There are two artifacts I found that I haven't seen before.

    My stash so far...

    Nice, Renzatic.
I started replaying STALKER jsut because I wanted to try it out with some mods and I must say the Oblivion Lost mod is quite well done and I also put in a mod which gives the game a bit of a face lift so it looks quite amazing. Next time I play, I need to take some screenshots for these forums

There are two things I love AMK for: new, more powerful artifacts and "Random, Rare" stash mode.

Found upgraded(night vision) Power Armor in the Death Truck in Cordon. Had no use for it myself(no running) so I gave it to Wolf. Pimp! I also found Val in Garbage, need to give him that as well. I tried giving him a grenade launcher but it didn't work, sadly.

Thought this was a pretty cool shot, I didn't even know STALKER had transparent water. And yeah, this is a Controller in Garbage. I also encountered Chimera in Cordon, had a lot of fun luring it to kill Stalkers for me, even though it was rather weak to be honest.

And here's me and my Garbage Gear. All these artifacts add up for a total of +3600% Health and -40 radiation. Pretty awesome. Though it saps stamina like no tommorow(That's why I'm using two Souls, I actually had two Porcupines I could put there but I'd drop dead after walking five steps with those).

Is there some nice plain guide (cheat sheet) for AMK's hypermod artifacts?
They're driving me nuts. I've got recipes for all these third and fourth tier mods but almost no second tier ones that lead up to them.
I dunno if I'm supposed to figure it out or try to find more recipes. The names for the anomalies being all over the place doesn't help either. Too much like hard work.

(AMK is the king of the mods for me. Most people reccomend O.L first, but it just has vehicles to set it apart. AMK is much better crafted for my money; reeling when you get hit, sleep matters, hunger matters, the blowouts. great stuff)

They must be somewhere in /gamedata/, probably in the PDA entries. I never looked for them though so I can't tell you anything specific. I just learned about Ancient Glassbeads though and... wow. That's a little TOO powerful.

And OL... is english. That's about all it has going for it; most of it's features are "borrowed" from AMK anyway. Plus vehicles in the Zone... meh.

Personally I think Blowouts are not a big deal. Finding cover is very easy, and you even get to know when they will happen. All they do is make you stand and do nothing for some time, and they looks impressive only first few times. Then it's just a bother, like night. Plus they happen WAY too often, even with 30 hour mark, but I guess it has to be this way considering how "small" SoC is.

    Some pics from my game

A beautiful view of the sun

I really wanted to shoot this guy in the back after all the annoyance he put me through with that job.

"Too much time in the sun" Seriously though this THING, whatever it is scared the living daylights out of me and took two rifle rounds to kill. It's like a Controller Mutant on drugs.

Not sure what happened there and why Duty would want to hang a zombie on a tree, a warning to other zombies?hehe
