Another of those ADODB things to watch: The Bridge for TDS has it too

Also, the "Bad Feeling" link (http://208.49.149.120/ThiefFMs/BadFeelingv1_2.zip) doesn't seem to work anymore.

(and you're missing some missions on that TDS list, but since they're bigger than 25Mb usually, that could just be a "working on it" - most of them are up at ShadowDarkKeep anyway)

The problem is, I believe, due to a file format mismatch between what is expected by the asp software (access 2000 format database files) what Pavlov is using (access 2003 saving as 2000 files) and myself, access 2007 (so I am no help either).

Dave has suggested that he will look into the problem this weekend (which would be any time now for him) so that should clear things up. I too have been too busy to really look into this, as I have a project presentation to give on Monday, and my laptop just went belly up.

    What I just noticed:
    1. "Darkloader, This program is needed to run Thief Fan Missions" is a little unexact due to the handling of T3 missions. Don't know if anyone has pointed this out before.
    2. The "Return to Main" links on the pages for submission, rating and usage instructions won't work because there is one "\mission" too much in the link.
    3. If I search for T1/Gold re-made OMs, I get eleven pages of hits, which looks rather strange. But I think you're working on it anyway...

...and there are two versions of "The Crypt" for TDS (1.1 & 1.2).

The download link to the convict.osm file for Thief 1 from TTLG is broken:

Success!! FM Search & Browse working.

Thanks to Dave for getting things running so that I was able to get into the files, find the file corruptions & fix them. As far as I can tell, everything is working properly at the Circle now. I'm sure there will be things that will still need to be corrected, but that's OK. I will attend to those matters as I find them or as they are brought to my attention.

The most noticable improvement is the elimination of the numerous instances of "ADODB.Field error '80020009'". I believe I've managed to correct all of these, but I will be rechecking during the coming week.

@Immortal & Ziemanskye - The specific missions mentioned here are fixed. As always, please let me know if you run across any more errors.

@Ziemanskye - Bad Feeling is up & running now.

@Yandros - Katy Fortner's name has been corrected on all her missions.

@clearing - Thanks for the assist for Mongoose.MH!

@Beleg Cúthalion - The Crypt was originally released for a contest and later updated by the author. The decision was made for all contest submissions that the original entry version would be identified as a contest entry and remain posted in the original form, even if updated. This is shown by the contest initials at the beginning of the file name (C6 Crypt vs. Crypt) The updated version appears as a normal mission with a notation that it is the updated version of a contest mission. This allows people to see the actual contest entries and compare them, even if the author releases an update later. Otherwise, we will be linking only to the most recent versions except when the new mission is made for a different game.

The "Return to Main" link definitely needs to be fixed. The other issues you raised are good ones, as well. Unfortunately, these are not areas I have access to at this point. When Dan gets a break from his busy schedule, I'll see what he wants to do.

    @SinisterShadow - The link to T1 convict.osm is fixed.

@Everybody - the mission polls & download counters are now ready for use!! So go ahead & vote on those missions!!

Thank you again to everyone for all your valuable help.

Thankyou once again for all of your help. I just noticed 2-readme.txt, one above the other. one has a capital I, and the other a small case I.

Two is always better than one, and it does not really bother me, but I just
wanted to let you know. Thanks!!

Sorry, that is a bit confusing. Thanks for bringing it up here so I can explain it. If you check the links, these are from two separate locations. Darklurker.com also posts the readmes when the file is mirrored. The second link listed is from there, as is the naming. I cannot change the names on another site, and what I use for the link is the actual file name. So, you may see some files that are named through someone else's system. I am trying to give people all the options, not restrict them to the Circle. Also, I personally don't care for naming all the readmes "readme.txt", walkthroughs "walk.txt", etc. I prefer to give things a mission related name. Also, it makes it easier for me to organize files on the server without needing to folderize every mission.

Excellent work. One small thing. 'Silence' by Cracked Gear doesn't state which mission its for.

    Thanks, Nickie!

None of the Thief 3 missions are showing the mission listing. I am aware of the problem, but fixing it is beyond my access at this time. All other missions are labeled, so assume if it doesn't say, then it's for Thief 3. A poor solution, I know, but, hopefully, I can get someone to fix this fairly soon.

OK thanks for that. I kind of guessed it was for T3. The best thing about losing internet access is all the fms to play when you get back and all the work you've done has made it really easy to see what I've missed so thanks again for this mammoth task you've taken on!!

It is nice that somebody has discovered my old FM "Just another Hole"
It was my first playable mission, but it wasn't released to public.

My website contains some info about this and my other FMs:
    http://www.darkgreg.yoyo.pl/index.html

Moreover, there is a walkthrough (by Freddy Fox & Nightwalker) for my "Dancing with the Dead" campaign.

It was a nice little mission for a first! I'll add the webpage link to all your mission descriptions and add the walkthrough.
    Thanks.

I have a silly question too....

http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=910 <-- is the Circle now also hosting SystemShock2 FMs, or is it just there by accident?
