#2395 When seeing your boy/girl friend not noticing you, you are filled with an eager desire to sneak up behind them and scream in their ear.

#2396 When firing an arrow, you wait patiently to zoom in before releasing it.

#2397 Whenever something goes right in life, your fingers compulsively reach towards an imaginary Esc key; whenever something goes wrong, you hit madly towards an imaginary F12 key!

#2398 If you are shocked, you scream 'By the Builder' or 'Who bes, manfools?'

#2399 You fill your My Pictures folder with screenshots of all three games.

#2400 You have a tough time explaining to your close friends/relatives why you were recently seen creeping round everywhere... and as they leave you try to blackjack them, but fail, so you reach for a flashbomb then run in circles

#2401- You just realized that the "Antiques Road Show" has the same Briiinnngg! sound when they show a treasure chest and tell you what an item is worth.

#2402- You don't care if this thread has gone way beyond 1000 clues because you need a damn break from playing thief, so you post here again.

#2403) You decide that the praying mantis in the garden are becoming dangerously large, so you start spreading pesticide.

#2404) You discover that it is pointless in owning a garden since the rust will get to it and there's nothing you can do about it.

#2405) You decide that the only problem to eliminating this problem of the rust getting to the garden is by locking up your local pastor and the congregation in church on Sunday and wait for the rust to settle inside.

tot: I've been meaning to ask; which is your thread TTK?

Another tot (kind of): Is this the longest running thread to date? If not, which one is?

    (Bump)

2410: While in the shoe store trying on boots you feel compelled to walk around in them on hard flooring just to make sure they make the same 'clomping' sound Garrett's make.

not to mention it was created almost seven years ago

Edit: one question, why is there nothing under the names of those who created and first posted in this thread? were there accounts expired?

In the general gaming forum, there is a thread called "Urban Dead". It's about an online game that most people on the thread played for a good while before apparently getting tired of it. I believe it reached two thousand posts in under a year.

Now, a stupid question from me: What does "tot" stand for? I thought it was "top of the"...something.

Those guys were of the original TTLG crew. About a third re-registered, including Stitch (666), Starfall, Piglick, and I think all of the administrators. A few may have taken the chance to change their names.

tot= totally off thread. Or something like that. Of course, it sometimes gets bastardized, which can be rather funny.

2411: During a moment of boredom, you find yourself humming the "drunk guard" song from Lord Bafford's manor. This happened to me yesterday when I was on a long drive.

Hint: instead of saying "sorry if someone else said this already," use "Search this thread" to make sure you're not repeating.

In the "Slang, Chat, & Culture" context, TOT means "totally off topic."

Some people have used it around here, when lowercase, as a guy giving the bird with both hands, the double-duece so to speak, but not so much nowadays. And the j-pop reading is a guy crying (ToT).

    ...

    tot

For you retarded academics, usage of tot has spilled from IRC to Commchat to here. Its usage on the TTLG forums is certainly 99% exclusive to an ASCII representation of me giving you the double finger.

sweet friggin christ! 2400+ clues that you play thief waaayyyy too much? thats a little excessive.... well, i might as well contribute..

#2412(?) During your summer vacation, you begin to try and break into the nieghborhood rich kid's house and steal his money and other shit, only to find out they have those damnable electric lights that your water arrows wont work on. So you give up and decide to just break into the local Boys' Club and find some various things (porn in my case, lol) then leave as quietly as you came in.

#2413(?) You attempt to figure out the mathematic principles behind a vine arrow so you can climb that mesh covering in the afforementioned Boys' Club so you can get on top of it and see if there is any more loot to be found.

#2414(?) You sneak into school to find some loot from the local fundraisers so you can buy that odd Thief Double Pack, and actually succeed in shutting all of the power off and making off with several hundred dollars in cash and change and end up buying the Double Pack, and having change enough left over to buy new video and sound cards and a small surround sound system so you can play Thief with even MORE realism.

2418: you get lost in one of these huge department stores, and find yourself cursing under your breath because you 'forgot' your compass.

2419: you pick up a sledge hammer and find yourself thinking 'Damn, these Hammerites are strong!'
