I know I shouldn't be responding about it here, but we need to fix that! You should be able to get it to run with some help. Are you familiar with ddfix? Myself or one of the others around here can help you out if you want.

You're obsessed with Thief so much that you make your fiance dress up as Garrett and force him to make Thief-inspired videos?

Upon returning home from shopping, work, whatever. When you get to your front door. Instead of using a key to open it like everyone else. You pick the lock.

    Nice

#3575: When turning off the lights before going to bed involves the use of water arrows.

#3576: You look at your reflection in a store window and think to yourself. "Does this hooded cloak make my butt look big?"

#3577: The background music from Shipping and Receiving starts to play in your head, as soon as you get close to storage buildings or the port.

3579, Your employer ask you to "Please use the elevator or stairs." Because the rope arrows are marring the outside of the building.

Someone takes a flash picture and you instinctively start running. Because you think its a flash bomb.

Someone takes a flash picture and you instinctively start to whack other people on their heads because you know you can take them out when they are still blinded by the flash

you go to the store and instead of going in and buying what you want, you wait outside knock people out as they come out and if they had what you want you take it from them.

    #3583:

You dig out your old laptop from around the time Thief was released to see how well Thief will actually run on the thing. Then you connect the laptop to your big monitor and keyboard/mouse to play through the game with sluggish performance, because that is how you first experienced the game.

You need to track this person down and let them know of their transgression. It's the only way we can live in a just and stable world!
