    T2 FM: Sly's UT Arena 2 (Feb. 8/2008)

That's right folks...it's the moment that none of you have been waiting for! It's bold. It's bad(ly made). It's a test of your fighting and sneaking ability and almost as much of a waste of time as Sluggs' Bestest series! It's.....

    Sly's UT Arena 2

You have been tossed into a pit of DOOM. (No it's not made with the Dark Mod you silly goose!) You have been robbing and stealing from the nobility for too long. They have finally caught you and devised a fitting punishment for your sorry behind! Get ready! It's a L--O--N--G way down but even a L---O---N---G---E---R way back up again! Mwaahahhahhhaaaaahahaa!!!!

    (insert expletive here)

Why does it torment me so? It took me 15min to beat it on easy even though the game time was was only 4min. That was a lot of loading quicksaves.

Question on Expert...I die on the way down...is there a way to survive the first drop without using healing potions?

The healing potions didn't help me survive the fall on expert at all. In fact I think you have to rely on dumb luck just to make it past that point. It took me about 20 tries before I finaly managed to stagger away just to end up with a bunch of arrows in my back...

Ahh damn it! I swear I tested that drop numerous times on expert and not once did I lose more than 3/4 health. Perhaps the rebound is more random than I encountered. I'll look into it.

    EDIT:

Damn, dead every time now. Before I was always bouncing towards the center of the map now it's to the left. I know it worked because I had to test the objectives on expert. Oh well I've added a few inventory items that will come in handy right away. New link in the original post.

i see people mentioned how bad the fall is,but i got a major problem, garrett moves so slow, make him regular speed, also as i was going up in level some parts were hard to get on to due to a steep climb and a platform next to impossible to get on while haunts and everything else is after you, great idea, poorly tested

you can walk diagonal, like moving forward and left at the same time, but orientate yourself so you move UP the slopes...you go a wee bit faster like that...

What scared me was when I was picking up loot in terms of FIVES when I noticed something that made me give a thumbs up sign Now I officially completed UT without healing pots

    Indeed he does.

The only thing i can think of is that you've accidently switched to 'walk' speed. I use to do that when i linked the walk speed with my caps lock key and accidently hit the key.

    That was awesome Sly

Yeah. . . it was a lot of work for those six gold nuggets, but when I saw Sly's thumbs up I knew it was all worth it.
