I'm absolutely thrilled, and I'm glad this is coming out. I'm very interested in the production of game design, and ever so much in learning how you guys made one of the best unofficial expansion packs to any game, in history.

So how will this be distributed? Will it be a download?

And the focal point of "The Making Of" is a video that narrates what you guys did during production as someone is playing through the game right?

Yep, it will be a download available on the Thief2X homepage. Most likely, the commentaries will be one download, and the rest of the package will be a seperate download.

Yes, that's what the commentaries are, though there will be plenty of materials other than the commentaries too!

I'm interested in the person who voiced Zaya. What a beautiful actress.

What is here name, and is she around these forums? Also, any picture of her up? I'm just interested to see if her real-life look matches the beauty of the in-game Zaya =P

Her name is Wynne. And if anything happens to her... we'll come looking for you!

Something already happened. Another TTLG casualty.
What would it take, I wonder, to entice her back to voice-acting, at least?

As long as she's happy, wherever she is.

Yah- I think she accidentally wandered into Commchat and got stabbed in the eye a few times. It's easy to forget what ttlg is about if you don't hang around in Thiefgen and the FM forums as well.

Wynne also voiced the girl in The Seventh Crystal, one of the few times I felt strongly emotionally moved by a game.

From her picture many years ago, she is a little overweight but pretty, she looks short, and has black hair IIRC, and a nice smile

    What do you mean?

So she is not around these forums right? Was she one of the many developers of T2X who got fame and were propelled further into the professional game industry?

    Oh and another different question:

How did you guys work on T2X? Did you all physically meet up as a team and work in a building or was this all done over the Internet? (the latter would be very impressive)

You asked to see her picture, that could be construed as being somewhat stalker-esque. Btw, she does have a picture up in the TTLG photo album (see above right).

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the T2X team has been "propelled" into the game industry, although they certainly deserve it. I would have much rather paid $50 for T2X than given my dough to Ion Storm/Eidos for TDS.

    1. How is something "stalker-esque" when you're looking for a picture of a famous person?

    2. A while ago here I posted that the T2X team should consider getting together again and making a sequel, but then I got a reply from one of the developers saying it is impossible because the majority of them are gone, and some have attracted professional fame and T2X gave them a headstart in the professional game industry.

It was a joke. You can find a photo of her easily enough by checking the TTLG Photo Album.

Heh heh...what? Are you joking now?

If not, click a name. If you don't see the names, or clicking on them doesn't bring up a picture, then something's wrong.

Because he's too gosh-awful modest to tell you, you should know that Raen, the main lead of the project was hired by Ion Storm to work on TDS during it's production, and is now working on Duke Nukem forever as a designer as well. Some of the others who contributed at the beginning have also gone on to be pro developers. Strangeblue, our original plot team director has written and published a successful novel, with another in the works. Raen posts in this forum quite often, and Strangeblue pops in from time to time in Commchat.

And let's not forget Duncan and Gonchongs enormously popular traveling road show "Nosehair Glorious!" that makes frequent stops in both Joplin Missouri and Hayhira Georgia. Look for it at a KOA campground in your area!

There's something very amusing about going from an ambitious amateur project that was actually released to a ambitious commercial project that probably never will be.

(Sorry Raen, j/k, please still do my interview!)

I've repeatedly submitted the theory that there in fact is no Duke Nukem game in production, but rather that Raen has actually joined a squirrel worshiping cult in North Texas and is using the Duke Nukem game as a cover.

    It's just a theory.

Fett, it's a wombat worshipping cult, get it right!

Anyway, "The Making Of" package and the commentaries are now available for download on the T2X Main Page. Enjoy
