Looking forward to it.
After many months of dancing around the idea, I'm pleased to announce that the makers of T2X - a few of us anyways - are going to be releasing a special "Making Of" package in the next couple of weeks. Since we've had such an enormous response to T2X since we originally released, we thought it would be a cool idea to release some of our notes, documents, and thoughts about the project. This should give folks an opportunity to check out some of the planning and development of the project and get the inside scoop on some of the history.
The biggest feature of the pack will be some all new developer commentary. Fett and I recorded a 9 hour play through of all of T2X, then got together in person and recorded audio commentary over the whole damn thing. It ended up being a lot of fun, and we got to talk about a ton of stuff. Our topics range from development anecdotes, mission design, project process, art and sound management, and everything in between. We also got to make fun of our favorite co-developers like Duncan and Addink and Gonchong without them being present, so who won't like that?
Also included in the pack will be our mission files, now unstripped, as well as a number of our demo missions we found useful to development. We thought plot documents and some unreleased artwork might also be noteworthy to the community. Finally, we're planning on including some audio notes and schema files that might prove useful to DromEders still developing missions.
We'll be posting more on this update as it develops. Hope you guys will enjoy it!

Looking forward to it.
We'll also be re-releasing Nightwalker's most excellent T2X walkthroughs as the 'official' T2X walkthroughs, updated for the patch, with new lootlists, screen shots, and lootmaps.
Excuse the stupid question, but will all this "supplementary material" be available as free downloads?
Thanks in advance.
PS Will the "Making Of" feature any contributions from the chick whom played Zayir? Her voice was very sexy.

Yes - it's all free. We haven't heard from Wynne (the voice of Zaya) in some time, though I think she's still lurking around the forums these days.
If it was free before, why wouldn't it be free now.
o hay. This 2Tx thing looks pretty cool. What's it about?
Dunno rly, you play and tell me.
Now I know why I check out the T2X forum from time to time.
@Raen...you should know by now that "dancing around" never got any product shipped.
This ought to be fun.
Now this I am really looking forward to!
Hey!
I look forward to being mocked. Looks like I'll have to finalize the soundtrack for a coincident release.
Let me know if you want any materials - I still have sketches and notes/outtakes from Ill Repute, etc.
Sounds awsome guys! Can't wait till its released.
Great. I'm looking forward to reading all about T2X.
Cool. Can't wait
The T2X Soundtrack album (featuring the original cast) is now complete as well - 35 Minutes of Thiefy2X goodness for your generic portable media player.
This will be released with the rest of the package, but will probably be available for separate download as well.

This is exciting news!
The Keep will be happy to help host any large files for this release
"For the Love of the Game"
Aside from all the hard work, this is sounding like a lot of fun!
This is turning out to be one huge package. Aside from the soundtrack stuff Gonchong just compiled, we've managed to dig up some old versions of our maps (playable through DromEd), as well as all our demo missions showcasing art resources and some gameplay concepts. I guess we're all a bunch of pack rats who keep everything. So that makes:
-the soundtrack
-early drafts of several missions
-all our demo missions
-the final unstripped missions
-some original map artwork
-examples of some briefing post processing artwork
-audio documents
-plot documents
-mission design documents
-all our schemas
-and the commentaries over the entire play through
Damn.
Don't hurt yourselves! And thank you very much!
It might be worth spreading the word around the editing guild and fan missions forum since some of this will make nice references and resources for them.
would you like a load of WIP cutscene stuff?
I think we still have most of it somewhere
Looks like this is gonna weigh more than the finished product. Not that it's a surprise or anything.
Looking forward to poking around.
