The Gothic Bundle isn't available in Europe, it seems, but Gothic 2 is going for 99c. They don't seem to have Gothic 1, though.

Gothic 2 is an excellent game, but I wouldn't really advise people to play it without having played the first game first.

I saw the bundle for 1,99 euros on the Gothic 2 page, and there was the option to add to cart.

    Oh, okay.
Gothic 3 is the weakest of the Gothic games - it tries too hard to emulate the likes of Oblivion, and fails (partly due to insanely long loading times making the game a lesson in frustrated boredom), but for 1... yup, still a good deal.

Also, terrible, terrible melee combat. Something as innocuous as wolves are utterly deadly at all stages, if they get the first hit in.

    Man that's quite a deal!

I have to ask though, is it worth it? I've never played a GTA game, and always shunned them (without ever playing one) because of all the controversy surrounding them and the crime focus... But I like sandboxy play, and I like Thief.....

Nah, don't buy it, five bucks is an amount entirely worth waffling about.

I just wanted to see what others think of the game. I don't even know what your saying... I don't eat waffles.

How come that game is 7.50 (~$9.20) in Europe? Bizarre pricing.
The GTA series are good mindless fun, but you need to spend a huge amounts of time playing them.

If it's not San Andreas or possibly Vice City, it's not worth your time.

To be honest, I got bored before finishing SA. Plus, most of the music in that game really didn't appeal to me. I had more fun with Vice City. And haven't played IV.

    Today's specials:

    Left 4 Dead (1): €6.80 / -66%
    Torchlight: €4 / -75%

    Mass Effect 2: €29.99 / -40%
    The Void: €5 / -75%
    Shatter: €2 / -75%
    Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45: €2.50 / -75%
    FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage: €1.90 / -90%
The Guild II + Pirates of the European Sea: €6.25 / -75%

Is it just me, or do extra games have a habit of popping up about an hour or two after the deals go live each day? Or maybe I'm just blind.

Hmmm... Well being that I'm a newcomer to GTA, and after what I just read on IGN regarding San Andreas, I think I'll get that instead. Plus, if I enjoy SA I can eventually get GTAIV.

I haven't played GTAIV yet, but of the ones I have played San Andreas has been my favourite. I think you made a good choice.

GTAIV sucks pretty bad. You're definitely better off with San Andreas.

Plus, San Andreas is only 3.75 / -75% on Steam today.

    Also:
    Thief: Deadly Shadows: 2.99 / -85%
Bioshock: 4.99 / -75% (Though, as far as I know you still get the horrible copy protection via Steam)

Bummer. Not available in New Zealand. Does anyone know if gifting that game bypasses that check?

I'd paypal if that works (you keep the game if it won't)

It should work, yes. I know you can get around Germany's censored versions like that, in any case.

Hmm, now I need to find someone who is willing to gift it to me...
