    T2 FM : A night in Rocksbourg 3 (05/13/08)

    Hello everyone

Here is the third part of my campaign a night in Rocksbourg, "Ink and dust".
It is the direct sequel to the previous missions, and it's a keeper-like mission. Keep in mind you don't need to do EVERYTHING to complete the mission, the gameplay is based on the player's freedom, just do what you want.

    English version :

    - Mission with briefing, around 165Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1309
    or
    http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/mi...e_MoviesUS.zip

    - Mission without briefing, around 115Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1311

    - Briefing with indeo codec for the game, around 55Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1315

    - Briefing with xvid codec, better quality and smaller in size, around 30Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1313

Original / French version (if you're interested...) :

    - Mission with briefing, around 175Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1310

    - Mission without briefing, around 125Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1312

    - Briefing with indeo codec for the game, around 55Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1316

    - Briefing with xvid codec, better quality and smaller in size, around 30Mb
    http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=1314

ATTENTION : You must play the mission with a clean and standard install of the original thief 2 game, which means you must uninstall any kind of graphic pack you would have, especially the Thief enhancement pack by Nameless Voice. If you play the mission with graphic packs, there will be bugs and crashes due to the high amount of texture palettes. Furthermore, the mission contains everything it needs to look pretty, including objects from NV's pack.
An easy way to uninstall NV's pack would be to rename the EP.crf file installed in your thief 2 folder. Once you finished playing the mission, just give back to the file its original name.

About the problem with the book of names :
For an odd reason, it seems that the players who finished the mission successfully had the custom scripts from Telliamed installed.
you must have the scripts from both Telliamed and Gaylesavers installed before playing the mission. Dunno why but it works that way...

Hmm, but doesn't EP have actually less palettes than original objects? I don't see how it could crash the mission .

Trust me, I didn't think it would come from it, I searched a while before to realise it was NV's fault
I added so many textures it can make the game to crash.

Forgot to mention, an easy way to uninstall NV's pack would be to rename the EP.crf file installed in your thief 2 folder. Once you finished playing the mission, just give back to the file its original name.

You might not have the right codec's for the AVI. Did you grab the version with the proper codec?

You can't see this one ingame, it's only the one with indeo codec which works.

You mean i can't see ingame videos anyway or i have to download the indeo codec version and mount it somehow.

edit:Anyway seen the video on external player and it is nicely polished, very good!!

He's saying the xvid version won't play in-game, only the indeo one.

Has anyone got the indeo version to play in-game?
