Dront, thanx for another T1 mission.![]()
Looks like the Trickster's minions who are still alive wanted me to pay for their master's death. When I was buying equipment I sensed someone hit my head with enormous strength... My mind became clear on the third floor of a strange building. I don't know what this building is or why they didn't kill me, but one thing is certain: I must get out of here.

Yes, of course.
This thing is BIG.
Another good TG mission! Thanks, Dront! (& clearing!!) It was very challenging. I missed a ton of loot. I'll have to give it another try. Much fun playing.
I have been all over this huge mission but I can't find the exit??
Can someone give me a clear idea of where to look. I have been up past where the trickster looking creature was and read the note about the thieves but don't know where that might be
Finished. 116 knockouts, 41 kills, took 0 damage. A new knock-out record.
Didn't leave anybody standing (except for the trickster), and didn't kill anyone who could be knocked out.
@pwl: Where you start, if you look down you'll see two ratmen two levels below. You can eventually get there. The level is too huge to explain, but you will eventually get to a narrow bridge which you will fall through in the water if you try to cross it. Go for a swim and you'll find a way.
Or alternatively you could use two rope arrows to get down there.

Excellent and fun mission!![]()
I enjoyed timing it right so the apparitions fought three of the ape beasts, and later had one of the crayman chase me back to that corridor to be killed by the zombies. Being a gentleman, I knocked out the lady servants to save them, but the obnoxious opera singer who accused me of being a thief worse than one of his fans, (how dare he!), got his comeuppance at the hands of one of the creatures. I was also surprised later on how many servants got to the upper level and met their ends at the hands (um, breath) of the bugbeasts. The readables helped to create a story background to the locale.
Just two objections: the exit was placed right near where I initially jumped to the 3 apebeasts, would seem logical to place somewhere on other side of obstacles, and I couldn't jump back on ladders in the circular well without a speed potion, even the ladder at the ledge. I don't think anything worthwhile was in the water and there was another route to reach both guarded positions.
This was a game well thought out with supplies when needed, (esp one location when I ran out) since I like to kill/knock out every creature I come across because I can! No ghosting for me. And this is a mission good for replays. Well done!
Finished on Normal in 1 hour and 31 minutes. I found the exit after around 45 minutes and could have ended the mission then, but I decided to explore further. Got all the loot in the end, which felt satisfying. The stats screen also listed 102 knockouts and 61 kills.
Part of the draw of Thief for me was its environments often felt believable and alive. Not the case here. It is random rooms and long corridors with low detail. The texture work is very basic too. Feels like a bad Doom map.
One thing I liked about the mission was the journals in the rooms where survivors have holed up after the place was ran over by beasts. I would like to see a mission with a similar scenario but higher build quality. Maybe one exists?
There was one door I had trouble opening. It was a door with a Hammerite texture. After I picked it, it did not swing fully open. I had to click it multiple times. Each time it opened a little more - as if something invisible was blocking it and was being pushed away whenever the door swung against it.
Another door lying on the ground disappeared after I picked its lock.
The bridge across the water in the large white hall is not a solid object. When I tried crossing it, I fell through its surface.
