Nice mission with a few rope arrow challenges I did not think possible at first; there was really a sense of climbing up on hiiiigh buildings. Cool panoramas too. I did not like the texturing so much (neither with original nor updated textures), but then my tastes may be peculiar here. There are some places I missed to find, so a replay is in order soon.

im quite stumped in the first area...

i have seen 3 rope arrow spots: near archer, rich man's room and the house in the middle that also lets you get on the balcony with the locked door. If i am to go thru the archer, i can't seem to make the jump. i either dont jump or only get garrett to make the sound of mantling but he just keeps falling. Haha... I was able to use the uh...glitch? mentioned below to get on the roofs and just walk towards the hammerite complex....

I was able to get ontop of the wall of the tower where you get your objectives, but that seemed to have caused a texture overload and it killed Thief o.O that's a first for me. "Scene complexity too high."

The balcony with the locked door is difficult, but it's possible to jump across. Stick your rope arrow in the bit of wood sticking out on the apex of the roof and jump across.

No you're not suppose to go through the archer, if i understand where you mean correctly, you're suppose to go through the 'rich mans' room and then to the next room down the corridor, examine this room carefully.

i did that, i could only find 3 places to do that (2 places are possible with 1 rope) and they all just had very small lootings inside and one room had a guard and a civilian

    Hint:
Go back into the room with the civilian & guard. Go into the library and look around carefully.

    Spoiler:
There is a book switch in the library. Frob it twice and you will open the way.

I got through the first area pretty quick, second area with the bagpipe music roped up, across the catwalk to the other building, out the window and through the window in the roof to the pagan symp's house... but now where?

The gate 'clicks' but can't be picked, the statue's plaque doesn't say anything (I looked up it's str, I think it's the one that actually doesn't say anything ANYWAYS)- I ended up going on a knockout spree just to shut them the hell up... (So much for ghosting - they were starting to piss me off... What's that? what's that? what's that?) I've tried shooting rope arrows at damned near everything, I've tried half-crazed Jeff Hardy-esque suicide dives off rooftops trying to reach other spots, I've circled every area I can think of right-clicking blindly in the hope of finding a hidden switch - I've even gone nuts stacking the billion odd boxes to the point I'm hitting up against the 'edge of the world' - all to no avail. I've explored every direction up and out I can think of and... nothing.

    -- edit --

Nevermind, I missed "Mr. Albrechts" back up the hill near the two hammerites.

    Hint:
Go back to the courtyard with the statue before you get to the pub (w/bagpipes). Look high up around that area.

    Spoiler:
There is a wooden window ledge with an open window on the opposite side from where you entered the courtyard.

This was a pretty good mission. It kept my thinking cap on a few times, as well as my eyes. I also loved the homages. Looking forward to another mission from this designer.

Actually it was supposed that there's something in it, but I always run into the scene complexity error when moving around in the area which is now surrounded with the fence to prevent players from enter it and crash the game. But it seems it is still possible to get in there...

Thank you very much for this mission!

It reminded me of the original T2 missions, which is a good thing. I think you captured the T2 essence with the "Thieve's Highway" element (a feature which is rarely considered by many FM developers) and, of course, your storyline. I think I'm going to replay it tonight.

Once you get past the Western gate you need to get to the inventors house. It's the one opposite the mechanist church.

    Invincible Frogs? What Fun!

I don't know if this was a bug or what. I was going through this mission for the second time. I wanted to set it up so I could back track incase I couldn't find all the loot. There were two mechanist that wore helmets and I like play with a blackjack only if possible. My solution was to try taking one of them out with a Frog. I don't know what happened but the first frog exploded but the other one was invincible. None of the AI's could kill the thing. The crossbow mechanists ended up accidently killing her buddies by accident. I went back to my save gave and re did it with opening the doors to the Church. The crossbow AI killed everyone in the area including the other Crossbower on the North side of the church. I tried repeating it in another game but it did not work. It sure was fun though.

It reminded me of "Durant" one of my Favorite FM's.
