The sun beams down on a brand new day
No more welfare tax to pay
Unsightly slums gone up in flashing light
    Jobless millions whisked away
At last we have more room to play
All systems go to kill the poor tonight

In the the style of Amy Winehouse & Duffy, Tocky. Strange how some of the same style performers don't get noticed as more famous ones.

First (Look Alike) Lady Gaga from the 80's:

To be fair that is the best Gin song. She sings a lot of monotonous songs that ought to be good but somehow aren't. I hope she hooks and lands some more like that and I'm pulling for her.

And holy crap! I had forgotten Dale Bozzio. Another who should have had more hits. You got to do the right songs though. It's not just the voice and skimpy outfit.

    Well... this one is okay.

Never would have guessed there was Japanese hair metal. Cool.

Never would have guessed Lizzy Hale and The HU would team up either. Somehow Lizzy manages to look like a different beautiful woman in every video she does.

Japanese folk metal. The name of the band is "Instruments of the Wa". Wa is basically the Force. It's "harmony", but it's also the term they use for Japan itself, like if you want to say Japan-style architecture or noodles, you'd say Wa-style. So they're more like "Instruments of Japan".

I guess I should post a video for that. These days I'm listening to synth demos like a madman. This is a good recent one.

Do you ever stumble on an old song and remember that oh yeah it's the best song ever written in all of musical history?

    The Bangles - Manic Monday

Pretenders - Back on the Chain Gang

And for the Covid paranoid back to work: Men At Work - Overkill

    Remember Rodney King?

We've been here before. It's very sad we've not progressed, and that certain people are actively trying to counteract progression. Fuckers.

New Album: Built to Spill sings Daniel Johnston. Seems like this was always destined to happen.

And young Josh Turner just dropped a new song that woulda given young Paul Simon a run for his money.

Pretty good for a human with just one set of vocal chords.

    Ain't it?

Melody Myers hits a few more of the in between notes and Laura Workman adds a depth impossible to quite define.

Some days I just need something bass-heavy with a steady beat to numb that part of my brain that sometimes need to be numbed:

    The numbing continues:

    Edit:
Also, watch out for the nun.

    Edit 2:
The parfait crowd had some great moves, whereas this one seems a little stiffer (nun not included, of course).

Sofi has done this more technically proficient but never where she had more fun and that is pure joy to see.

Oops meant to post this one. Well, it's a double win then.

A old school hormone video & a forgotten dude

Lita Ford - Kiss Me Deadly

The Waterboys - The Whole of the Moon

I'm adding one more (with a lot of drum bass) because I'm not entirely convinced qolelis videos are all girls - which reminded me of this video song.

Dead Or Alive - That's The Way (I Like It)
