Hallows Eve - Reina Del Cid

Thanks to demagogue I now have new performers to follow including this lady who writes clever lyrics. My hearing isn't as sharp as it used to be and I have subtitles switched on which made me realise just how good a lyricist she is. As well Morse Code Ive just seen this.

    "On this Hallows Eve
I'll make friends with the ghosts"

God that Dead Don't Die movie was a disappointment. I was all excited because it's a zombie flick starring Bill Murray! How could it fail! It did. Horribly.

Anyway here is another excellent discovery and fits the times.

Remember these guys? I loved their Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge album so much. Then The Black Parade I felt was just meh. But they did have a few after that were good. I feel I let them down by not paying attention after The Black Parade and it's all my fault they broke up. If only I had listened they would still be together.

That Mary story is so old I think she got picked up in a model T. There is a version where her name is Lavender and a guy lets her borrow his coat then when he goes to the house he let her off at the next day to get it the old folks say their daughter has been dead twenty years. He passes a cemetery and finds her stone where his coat is neatly folded on top. Anyway I don't believe in ghosts except for the one who spooned me.

Here is the song we sang as we tried to escape an evangelical that helped me get an article 15 at Heyford.

Today ABBA released their first new album in 40 years!

I listened to it, and my first impression is that it doesn't have any straight up bangers to compete with their old hits, and nothing really made me wanna get up and dance, but I did like some of the more mellow numbers. In particular this song for its storytelling:

Album closer "Ode To Freedom" is nice too.

    Boom, Boom, Boom

I bought Moondance in early 1970s, after a female friend played the whole album to me and I played it often, but I'm only now finding out what half the words of this song are
which somehow (loosely) made me think of
    and
    Solsbury Hill

    When illusion spins her net
Im never where I want to be

Well in my mind it all made sense this morning.

Joey said Maddie was listening to something and he got to tapping the wheel to it before he knew what it was. LOL. She is RIGHT! He DOES like Scooby Doo music! You know what? I kinda do too now.

Saw Foreigner for the first time last night in Tupelo with my wife and daughter. It surprised me that we knew every word to every song and sang along. We had a great time. It's never just the adventure. It's who you are with too.
