Diablo Swing Orchestra - A Tap Dancer's Dilemma

It's basically swing jazz mixed with metal. I'm always looking for that stuff. Besides this, there's only really Bad Devil by Devin Townsend.

One of my friends is obsessed with that band.

Currently I'm listening to Drown my Sorrow - Saturnus as part of my latest interest in Doom Metal.
Oh yes and I don't like Katatonia, there I said it. They never seem to get vocals right, their early work is too screamy for my liking and their later albums are too whiny and don't feel like Doom at all.

    Too screamy?

    Too screamy?

Get out. Mikael Ackerfeldt of Opeth did vocals on Brave Murder Day. You're not allowed to say bad things about that album at least.

I was actually only agreeing with the fact that I don't like them. The rest of his statement isn't my feeling.

    Cornelius - Magoo Opening

Seriously, Fantasma has to be one of the greatest albums of all time.

The other day I was watching the documentary that comes with Opeth's live dvd. God, that man can growl like no other (and when I saw them live, he sounded just like the albums).

Speaking of whitest things, The Whitest Boy Alive are pretty amazing. But my existence is currently dedicated to the new Destroyer EP, Bay of Pigs, the title track goes for 13 minutes, and I can't find a full version on youtube, but here is a 9 minute version, ambient disco written by a folk rock band, bizarre, but also mind blowing.

One more week until the man comes to town. I may end up needing to work the next day but oh well, who needs sleep anyways?

    eno - thursday afternoon

there isn't really any better background music for reading, working, studying, whatever. It just melts away, and then every so often you stop and listen for a few seconds, and then let it recede again.

Have only listened to this once so far, but first impressions are good. Particularly like When The Sun Rose Again.

Not even the ones I attach using the forum's own file attachment system? I know links to pics or ImageShack, etc. can sometimes go fubar, but wasn't aware attached files weren't showing up either.

FWIW, it's Alice in Chains - Black Gives Way to Blue.

It's only the ones posted with the file attachment system that you need to be logged in to see. Everything else(imageshack and all) is unaffected by whether you're logged in or not.
