It worked okay during beta.
I have managed to get to the front porch, but I got there before my other objectives were complete and I cannot leave the front porch. The "objective complete" message keeps triggering over and over but the metal door won't open and I see no other way out. Seems like a bug to me.
It worked okay during beta.
Okay how do you kill that stupid head thing!!!
I managed to finish all other 5, but this one makes fool of me. I fled into an aquarium on the floor from which says that it is my home, closed the "vault door" and objective complete... and complete... and complete...I do not have a chance to come out from there, I accomplished nothing yet though
This mission is a strange "classic"

Probably cause it's incredibly annoying!![]()
I have no idea why how this mission could be a tribute to The Sword, it's much closer to Bestest FM, or the Total Crap Contest. I don't mean offense by that, I just think this mission is way too far out there on the weirdness scale.
I think his mission was trying to blend the sword's funky design with blooper wheel's ..err..unique gameplay
Myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the mission. In a way, it really captured the "now what the hell is that?" experience of Constantine's. It was creative, fun, and occasionally challenging. Granted, it will not win the contest, but I do say it was damn good.![]()
Also, Author, you need serious help.![]()
Where is Frobman Truart and how do I kill him?
I found one hidden objective:
Go down into the room with three undead, a lava pit in one corner and a couple of crates. Smash the one little crate that is of a darker brown than the others. The Horn of Quinus is inside.
Thanks Melan. I finished with the bonus objective and 4612 in loot.
Gameplay: This mission is a tribute to The Sword from the original Dark Project campaign. Ideas lifted include asymmetrical corridors and inverted rooms. A number of often-reused artifacts like the Serpentile Torc and Bafford's Scepter are placed in the different areas, as well as a substantial amount of loot. Usually you have to avoid traps and enemies before being able to steal those things. Sneaking up on enemies is nigh impossible due to the rooms's layout and a total lack of shadows to hide in. You're better of shooting everything in sight with several thousand arrows from your starting inventory. In that regard this mission ignores central aspects of the classic Thief experience, more closely resembling an entry from 2006's Total Crap Contest.
Design: The architecture in this mission is really bland. The Sword presented you with a mansion that did look ordinary at first but got weirder and weirder the deeper you explored it. In this mission however, everything is out of whack right from the get-go. There are some good ideas to be found later on, among them giant skulls eyeballing you and a puzzle with a room that comes in two sizes. Overall, the environment here looks unpolished. I should note this mission crashed to the desktop twice and one time I had to restart the whole system.
Story: There doesn't seem to be a story at all. The title seems to originate from a quote from the briefing of the first Bafford mission in the original game.

don't forget, the author mentions (in the text file) that this mission is also a tribute to Blooper Reel. that might explain some of the wackiness...
it was a bit too surreal for me, nice showcase of things dromed/dark can do, but why you'd want to do some of them I'm not sure
Thief has now crashed-to-desktop several times, and crashed my system once - so badly so that I got Error messages in French!
I also experienced the never-leave-home problem
I really liked the Alice in Wonderland room, but the rest is annoying in every aspect
where is the sword, and how exactly do I get to Truart?

The is a pit in the dancing hall with all the twitching MechBeasts, TreeBeasts, Haunts and other creatures. Rope down there. Eventually you'll find a door the leads to an upside-down cathedral.
Rope up to the room with three undead, a lava pit in one corner and a couple of crates down below where you stand. Look for a door immediately to the right where you entered. If you open it, it appears there is only a black void behind it. Jump through that opening and you'll end up in Frobman Truart's room.
This mission is like being on drugs. Oh wait - I was on drugs.![]()

thief with built in mushrooms![]()
Can someone tell me where to find the Torc!?
I finished the rest but got the crash bug (HAD TO RESTART MY COMPUTER!!)
I know the author warned about that, but it was still VERY annoying.
Aside from that, I thought it was a very fun, if unconventional level.
But again, can someone please tell me where to find the Torc? I don't want to keep running around and crashing!
