Interesting. So they really waited with any BS2 related news till the PS3 version is out. The trailer does not seem to reveal much besides the title, still nice to watch though.
Someone over at the Gamespot forums has posted what he claims are the first images of BioShock 2, supposedly from some kind of trailer shown upon completing the PS3 version of the game. Seems like the same kind of visual style featured in CG launch trailer and TV spot, so it's probably a teaser trailer in the same vein.
They're promising the video itself soon, so perhaps it'd be wise to keep an eye on that thread. Thanks to 501105 for the heads-up.
[EDIT]
Thnx, RPS!

It's revealed that it'll take place after the events in BioShock, which is something that wasn't known! The barnacles on the logo are a nice touch.
How delightfully phallic.
looked more like teeth to me
still, this is exciting!
It's understood they were Rapture-esque buildings.![]()
BioShock 2: Even less to do with water than in the first game
Honestly have no fucking idea where they could possibly be taking this...
But that's the best part about this, it means we've got something like two years of wild speculation to indulge in!
My guess: Returning to Rapture, where it has become more dystopian and more broken-down. Or maybe they'll be original and bold, seeing as KL is gone.
what happens when super-powered militant objectivist fundamentalists take on washington!
A fish-out-of-water story: Little Sisters Take Manhattan!
The fact that she wasn't 2 foot tall indicated to me that Lil' Sis' was all grown up.
It could be a young Tenenbaum, it could be anything.
Does it indicate that this Sister's got powers? Is she looking back to the sea and remembering, then recreating? Barnacles would indicate age, not early years, unless they eventually developed something to keep Rapture clean of the little suckers. If it was a prequel then I guess her daddy made her a doll that resembles his diving suit?![]()
I'm reckoning sequel and Lil' Sis' got some plasmid power!
I'd say sequel, definitely. The logo clearly indicates this - it gets from BS1 old to even older. The blue butterfly amazes me - seems to indicate new life, or hope, I would guess.
Agreed!
Pouring even more oil into the fire of uncertainity. Prequel? Sequel? Both?
They all came from land previously so presumably there was a Rapture on land too?
Or perhaps through rather ingenious technique they could flick chronological perspectives (and player characters) by telling two stories that converge through a common plotline unfolding in both the past of Rapture and the future of the world where the powers of Rapture are unleashed.
I hope this won't be the spiritual successor to Field of Dreams.![]()
