The original series was fabulous. I never imagined how much better you could make it, but you did. Congrats on the release, Sensut!

Location: Great. Now I can't get back in
Have "only"(!) played the original releases - loved them, but had real fps problems with The Dark Throne. So I've been particularly looking forward to this release.

Thank-You so much for all your dedication, Sensut

Hmph. 30 minutes into part 1 and already stuck. I don't know if anything's been changed from the old version, so I'll post my question here:

I've found the secret entrance behind Gheorghe's hut. Picked up the water talisman and a vial of holy water, and jumped down the well into the moat. How do I get out of there? Climbing out is impossible, I can't get back up into the cave, and I haven't found any other way to proceed.

You can climb out from the water only to the bridge. The bricks are too slippery elsewhere.

Ah...they are both the same height, so I assumed it can't done and went looking for a switch, a hidden tunnel or something else. Totally on the wrong track

Just finished part I. I'm very impressed with the atmosphere and the level of tension here. A fantastic mission! Two questions remain:

    (1) The optional objective defeats me. I'd like a hint.

    (2) Are there any more water arrows? I only found the 3 in the chamber in the bailey. Fortunately those skeletons in the catacombs have a short attention span, or I wouldn't have made it out.

HERE is a little help about the loots, secrets etc.

Water arrows are in the watered tunnel where you enter the ruins from the ottoman fort; and where you go down with the cloud lift to the catacombs. There are enough water arrows for each difficulty levels.

That's strange. I've been down there and didn't see it.... too bad you can't go back to get it. I'll have to replay this from an earlier save. Thanks for the link - now I won't need to pester this forum anymore.

One more question: is it correct that you have no compass in part 2 and no sword or dagger in part 3? And what's the difference between hunting arrows and broadhead arrows?

I don't know about the compass in part 2 (though, I vaguely remember having one), but I know there is a sword from the start in part 3.

I notice no difference between the two arrows. I never bothered experimenting. It might be damage or arc that's different.

No, it is not normal. The sword is falling in front of you right at the start. The compass is in your inventory, nut it is not too necesarry in this mission. And the difference between the broadheads and hunter arrows is that the broadheads are regular arrows flying in arch, but the hunter arrows are strongest and preciuos arrows, flying linear in long distances. They are perfect for sharpshooting against small animals like bats, spiders or rats; and silent hunting against humans of course.

OK, I didn't notice, and left the sword on the ground. It was inconvenient, but I could finish nonetheless. But why do you start with the staff in your inventory, but need to pick up the sword?

The compass is in your inventory
I definitely started part 2 (The Return) without a compass in my inventory. I've re-started this mission twice from a save at the end of The Love Thief, and it's always the same. No compass. Not a big matter, but it might be a bug.

The sword falls out from his case while he jumps over on the wall. Just a thing.

Oh, in PART 2 ? In part 2 is no compass.

The things like this are for the mood of the variety only. What would the game be like if there would be everything there in your flat bag ready?

    Accepted.

More convenient? In the prologue and in part 4, you start in your room and need to pick up some equipment. That's very much OK, almost like it should be. But if you start "on expedition" and the story doesn't say you've lost anything, then I'd expect to carry my things from the start.

I haven't run out of questions yet: What are differences between the "sneak" and the "fight" difficulty level? The naming lead me to believe there might some unavoidable fighting (or, for part 2, *more* unavoidable fighting) in the highest level, so I played only on the second-highest level. Is this correct, or is the only difference in the loot requirement.

Just go up to the Darkthrone and you'll see the differece . But not only in this mission, in each missions are differences (more or less AIs, loots, items etc.)

But if you start "on expedition" and the story doesn't say you've lost anything, then I'd expect to carry my things from the start.
This would be in this manner if you would start from home or from an arsenal always. But in G.'s case, he starts with it what there is at hand.
